12 Things I Learned About The New Google Console

I just watched the Wealthy Affiliate Live Training about the new Google Search Console.

Here are 12 things I learned:

1. You need Google Console! It's your lifeline to Google, letting Google know every time you publish a new blog post
2. Google Webmaster tools is now Google Search Console - same thing!
3. Old versus new version - same data but different interface - more graphically oriented.
4. Not all the old features have been carried over (yet) and not everybody has access to the new interface yet.
5. To access - OLD: google.com/webmasters NEW: search.google.com/search-console

7. Click on Search Property to see all your data when you log in.
8. Bookmark new version when you get access as you cant reach it via the old version.
9. You have to add a new site to the old version and then you'll be invited to the beta version - remember not everybody has access to it yet.
10. Search analytics can show you what keywords you're ranking for per post you have written.
11. Great for doing research on your own performance so you can create more new content.
12. You can compare performance across devices e.g desktop versus mobile to check whether what you're doing to be mobile friendly is working.
