5 New Blog Posts
Your progress thus far
I have been working through the trainings. So far I have 5 blog posts. My site has been indexed by Google. I have also started to monetize my site with links from CJ.com and the Amazon Affiliate program.
Your niche that you are working within
The niche I chose was the making money niche, but not only online. I will be looking at both online and offline opportunities. The affiliate programs I will be using will be able to be used by both online and offline businesses. The offline world still needs marketing. As an example, I can always show them how to use an email marketing system to increase their offline marketing efforts.

Hi - it's quite early to be adding affiliate links to your website. Ideally, at least your first 10 posts should be purely informational with no selling intent, no affiliate links, and not be product-based.
You need Google to see that your website is focused on helping people, not selling to them. If your site is too "salesy", it is considered as having "thin content" with no value - as though you are writing posts to sell products rather than helping people solve a problem.
Not every post should have affiliate links. Following on from your initial informational posts, you can start adding review posts. When you are adding affiliate links, they should be included in a full review of the product - why you recommend it, what are its pros and cons, is it value for money, etc.
Ok, thanks for the advice. I guess I jumped ahead. I am about to go into the third set of trainings to learn about monetizing. So should I get rid of my affiliate links I have placed? They are on two blogs, Amazon on one (twice) and a CJ link on another.
Hi - how much detail have you written about the products that you have added affiliate links to? If you have given an in-depth review of the products, then I would leave them.
If however, you have literally linked just a few words to the products, and not actually discussed them, then I would take them out.
As you say, you have probably got a bit ahead of yourself, as affiliate links are not covered until level 3 of the training.
And do be aware that you have joined the Amazon affiliate program very early. You need to make 3 sales within your first 180 days or you will be removed from their program. This is actually quite difficult to achieve until you are getting daily traffic, which takes several months.
Ok, great to know. I am an affiliate of NordVPN on CJ. I just wrote an article on what VPN does and why you might need one. At the end I have a simple sentence that says Here is my choice for a well-known and robust VPN. I added my link to VPN at the end of the sentence.
As for Amazon, I had signed up for it before I found WA. I may have already passed the 180 day mark, but I'm not sure.
I'm heading into level 3 training.
