I just received an email linking to this article Chrome 56 SSL HTTPS WordPress
When Google releases its next version of Chrome (56) all pages which collect passwords or credit card details will be flagged with "Not secure" in the address bar.
If you're thinking "that doesn't affect me because I don't ask for credit card details on my website" then please think again. If you offer any sort of membership which requires users to choose or use a password to gain access then you need SSL.
Eventually, as Chrome continues to release new versions it will label all plain HTTP pages as "Not secure".
