Out of Focus but moving on
For almost 2 weeks of being a member here in WA I know that I am moving too slow. Progress on creating my first ever website is getting very slow. A lot of destruction on my way and I feel sometimes that I am out of focus.
Today is a brand new day. I wake up alive and feeling charge again lol! I open my laptop and log-in straight to WA. Reading blogs, conversation through live chat, discussions and others re-charge me.
My decision of joining WA is a commitment. Commitment that I must give 100% attention and focus on it. Commitment on making major changes and adjustment to see myself and how to pursue my goals requires a serious investment of time and energy.
Factors to give 100% commitment of what we are doing are as follows:
- reading and participating discussions
- listen and watch tutorial videos
- practice or apply what you have learn
- be patient to yourself and give yourself a break if you feel tired
- notice, monitor and celebrate your progress
and most important is NEVER EVER GIVE UP.

Hi! Aww you sound a bit despondent and overwhelmed. It's easy to feel like that because there's so much information on here to take in. First have a look at this success story https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/krism/blog/those-who-never-try-never-achieve (copy and paste) then try and take everything in bite size pieces. Say, today, find a niche, name a site and give it an about page, a privacy policy page and a welcome page. Dont worry about writing the content for them just do the titles. Tomorrow is another day and you can maybe write some content for the three pages. If you need any help give me a shout and i will help in any way i can ok... You may be way ahead of this but main point is to break it down and make it fun! Have a great day! :-)
Maria
thanks maria. I am done with the about me and privacy policy. I already bought a domain name and even successfully transfer to it. Content is my problem now but I am working on it. My english is not so good that's why I am stuck.
Ok.. well i think your English is good. Why dont you have a go at writing a page and send me the link and I would be quite happy to help you with the English and I'm fairly sure Michelle would as well. Don't worry, help is always at hand. :-)
As she said, there are a number of people that would be happy to review some of your content for you. You can private message it to your friends here and you could also post it in the feedback section for authoring/content classroom where people will give you feedback and review on it. If you have a writing editor such as microsoft office or use the Google writing thingy (sorry I dont ever use it I just know it is there) that will help catch misspellings and basic grammar issues so you can feel more confident about it =). Though I thought your English was fine as well.
Marife, well done for not giving up and getting back into it. Sometimes we just aren't ready the first time we try something, but that's OK. We can always come back to it like you have. The important thing is to use that experience to fire you up this time! You can do this, we all can.
What are you interested in doing a niche on? Sometimes if we talk about it, we then feel like we've made a commitment and don't want to let anyone down.
That is a great attitude to have. Don't forget that applying and practicing what you learn is very important. It is very easy to get caught up in all the training and blog posts and discussions and live chat rofl and all that other great stuff that you forget to actually get some work done on your site (I am 100% guilty of this more often than I would like to admit). Do not be discouraged about your progress or how slow or fast things are coming along. Just keep in mind that it may take a little longer to see results when you have less time to actually spend on your site. In the long run your determination will pay off and I am rooting you on. =)

Don't be too hard on yourself. It is obvious that you are committed. It's not a race and sometimes things go faster than others. If you're constantly worrying whether or not you've done enough you'll put yourself under unnecessary stress. You're making progress - that's what counts. ;) Beverley
