First Post attempt!
Hello!
Having skipped the LiveJournal fad almost all of my friends went through, this is really my first blog post so I want to see how it goes!
Currently I am in Lesson 3, waffling about whether or not my niche is worthwhile or not broad enough/too much and struggling with using the keyword tools (I am hoping to get the money to go for the discount Premium before my offer is up, so I know at least part of the reason I can't quite make the tools work). In case anyone reads this, I'm currently looking at my niche being living long term in a tent camping (awkward, I know).
I am going to continue moving through the lessons, and getting sidetracked by the related articles, and expand my learning of this whole journey.
I hope everyone out there is doing well with their niches and getting all the affiliates they can imagine!

Although you my think your niche maybe a little awkward, remember the camping niche has a whole host of affiliate products you could promote on your site, that is relative to your niche topic. Dont underestimate the camping niche - it could be quite lucrative with a well written site too.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm well acquainted with a lot of the products since I've spent an absurd amount of time over the years living in tents and crappy minivans.
I definitely plan to keep pushing forward!
sounds like you have the experience and knowledge to build out a great authority site. Having vast knowledge of products will also help you create good content and reviews

It is a obscure niche :). But with obscure niches you typical get less competition, which is a good thing. I did a little bit of keyword research and they are some people searching "how to live in a tent long term" and other related words. You could eventually grow into how to live anywhere other than a house niche by including RV's, campervans, cars, boats etc
