Adventures In Patience.
I can identify strongly with this image. I am very much feeling this at this moment in my journey.
Last April I found myself very motivated to change the way I earn a living. I didn't find this place until half a year later or so.
A thing I like very much about this place is the action steps. I feel as if I have an insane amount to learn still. Which is mostly an accurate feeling.
But I am pretty pleased with how much I have accomplished in 3 months. Because when I think of 3 months in terms of other areas in my life, that is not a very lengthy time period.
There are some very helpful members in this place who have shared some very helpful insights. I have found a number of IMc's posts exceptionally helpful.
About 2 weeks ago I got a pretty strong sense of direction, and so I have been pouring a great deal of effort into making this vision a reality. So it has had me very distracted. I have much work still to just get the site somewhat completed.
As I learn more, I will try to be more helpful and share what I learn. But as many of you can relate, the time just flies.
Like a number of you, I have a full time job. I have also been very involved in kung fu the last number of years and so I teach on the side mainly as a passion, because I barely make any money doing this.
So between those two things and our beautiful beaches and hitting the gym to keep myself strong, the only time I have to work on my self created income is at night after work.
When I set up my site in October, one of the first things I did was cancel my Netflix. I am thankful for that, even not watching entertaining shows I still find myself staying awake later than I was prior to having so much content to create.
I have one item of good news to report. As well as ridding myself of potential distractions, the day I would get my pay check, I would take 20% of it and put it into savings. I've been doing this the last 2 or 3 months. That was to get me used to living on the income of 4 days of work a week as opposed to 5 days of work a week.
Well, this week I finally spoke with my work place about switching me from a 5 night a week schedule to a 4 day a week schedule. So if anything, that should give me a great day to rest and recharge the batteries, since I tend to have so many kung fu classes on my other nights off.
The extra free night to work on my business is going to be great as well. Anyway, I feel that a number of you have been very helpful and giving and I have been so quiet. So I thought I would at least give you a tiny peek into where I am at during this time.
Thanks again for all that so many of you have contributed in so many different ways. I hope you all have a great week. For now I am off. -Mat

You sound very disciplined, Mat. That's a great quality when trying to build your own business. Good luck this year!
Now that you have an extra day, you should see
a greater improvement in building your websites.
