A few important questions regarding Wealthy Affiliate

Hi everybody. I wanted to know if the premium membership is automatically renewed each month. If yes, how do we change that option as I want to pay by a new card next month? Also, when I was researching scam sites to showcase positive reviews in my Wealthy Affiliate review, I read a few disturbing reports on http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/specific_search/Wealthy%20Affiliate and elsewhere that said that: a. There is no option or support to cancel premium membership b. Wealthy Affiliate does not offer refunds c. Members were being billed even after somehow cancelling their account d. The websites of members who had left without making a dime were being used to draw in new unsuspecting members e. This was by far the most shocking one- a current member who goes by the name "PotPieGirl" has a website http://wealthyaffiliatecomplaints.com/ wherein she is serving up a host of other negative points.

I sincerely request someone to please clear the air regarding all this.

P.S.- I asked these questions as I want to dispel all these false reviews with solid proof in my wealthy affiliate review.

Thank you for your bravery to ask the tough question, Mahevash. I appreciate you and look forward to the responses here.

Thank you so much for your support Griffin.
I should have added the reason for asking all these questions at the end of my post-I have done it now-
I want to dispel all these false reviews with solid proof *in my wealthy affiliate review*.

I have found from my own personal experience, that if a person is looking for an excuse not to succeed , they will often times find many ..

Be careful reading or listening to the doubts of others.

If you are not careful they will become your own. A good mentor once told me :You can make money or you can make excuses, but you can't do both.

Reaching your goals and dreams takes focus effort , the above review is just a distraction.

Your words : " I get intimidated for a number of reasons-someone has a way with words, someone has a number of websites, someone is well-established..."

You can do this , keep at it ! Looking forward to seeing your success here at WA !

Hi, Anthony. Thank you for taking out the time to read this. My bad, I should have added the real reason I asked all these questions-"I want to dispel all these false reviews with solid proof *in my wealthy affiliate review*. " Thank you for your support:)

I'm surprised...I had heard good things about PPGIRL but after reading her poorly written post I understand. She's promoting the competition and trying to make it look good by tearing down WA, who knows, maybe she will go all in and join EN as well.

Hi Ken, I heard good things about her too, but now...God knows, she might have already joined EN.

You have to make the decision that is right for your. It is good you did some research. I did as well before buying my premium membership. I felt the program offered great training and the ability for me to build a business. The results of building of business is making money but will not happen over night.

I am taken aback that a current member has a website such as this because on January 4, 2014 she posted an article here at WA about how much she will miss not going to Vegas this year and what a great job Kyle and Carson do with offering advise on marketing. Look up her name and read the blog.

You can cancel your membership before it is about to renew. You will not lose much money. I do know that no refunds are offered when you do cancel your membership so if you want to pay for a month and find it is not for you then on day 20 to 25 I would cancel the membership. Then you have not lost much money.

Another member recommended sending a private message to Kyle and Carson. I would contact them with your concerns.

Debbie

Thank you, Debbie! I checked it out, it is shocking indeed. I have pm'ed Kyle and Carson. Such backstabbing behaviour must not be tolerated imo.

Yes, your monthly subscription rebills each month unless you cancel, which you can do in Account Settings in the main menu, or if you paid with PayPal balance, from within your own PayPal account. You can change your payment method there too. There are no refunds of monthly or annual subscriptions after the subscription has started, so you can't for example cancel two weeks into a month and expect to get two weeks refunded. If you quit Premium you can still earn from promoting WA, it's just at a lower rate, it's all detailed in the first page of Bootcamp here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wa-affiliate-bootcamp-starting-your-foundation/day-1-getting-rolling What these disguntled ex-Members are talking about is if you are *BANNED* from WA, ie. you try to game the system as some of them have done by creating hundred of fake user accounts to earn $1 referrals, used stolen credit card numbers, or repeatedly breached any of the "No-No's" https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wealthy-affiliate-the-open-education-project/spam-is-a-no-no etc. etc. :) Rich.

Thank you, Rich. Appreciate the info, didn't know where to look!

Potpiegirls doesn't mention that promoting WA as an affiliate is AN OPTION for members struggling to come up with a niche. She states that the average member drops out at 3 months having made no money. From the outset we are informed that this is not a get rich quick scheme. The testimonies of progress are earning their first dollar between 3 - 6 months. I repeat "first dollar"

From personal experience if your current card expires the automated billing ends with the card.

I too have read those negative reviews. If I cancel my membership I will find out if there is substance to those claims.

Good comeback, Joe!

I would suggest you private message both kyle & carson

Did that already, thanks anyway:)

I've read the rip-off reports as well, the important thing is to look at the dates of those rip-off reports. Whether the claims are true or not they happened upwards of 4 years ago so we can rest assured they've been resolved. Steve, Kyle, and Carson also reply to the reviews they are in so again, they've been resolved.

As far as the losing "Write Privilege" and therefore WA is a Scam, that's ludicrous. To be fair I don't know the circumstance, nor do I know the back and forth between these users and K&C. But given the times when Kyle literally walked me through building my website, which has absolutely NO affiliation with WA, through Private Messages I would say there had to be a good reason.

She is right if a person promotes WA and then quits all the accrued money goes straight to K&C. If that is a concern of someones though they can always shut down their site, K&C own WA but not your domain. Also if you make a website in your own niche (which is actually the point of this site, NOT only to promote WA) then again they don't truly benefit financially except for your monthly or yearly subscription, which you are aware of going in.

Again I can't say 100% that her claims or those of the members that lost their privileges are false. But if through her experience she says that WA is a scam, through my experience I say WA is the real deal.

I applaud you for searching for the truth, and if you decide to stick with WA I wish you the best!

To Our Success, Gav

Thank you for your honest reply, Gav. And I agree with what you have said:)

Just sour grapes from ex-members, the last one goes on and on about how you won't get the negatives from WA.

Yet at the end of the article she has an affiliate link for another company, you won't get any negatives about that one either.

You can't please everyone, try Tripadvisor for reviews on holidays one review will say terrible holiday don't book while the next one will say best holiday ever will book again.

You must go by the majority not the minority.

Agreed! I actually wanted to do a post on my website about dispelling these lies, which is why I asked these questions.
