I have a question about MX settings? I was experiencing a problem receiving my email through Gsuite. note that my email contains my domain name( ex. __@domainname.com Originall

I wish I had a good answer for you! I don't though.

Maybe you should write this as a regular blog post here so more people see it. I think if you write a title that does not have a question mark at the end it won't be turned into a question.

So you could have the same title you have here, just leave off the question mark.

Hopefully a wider audience will be able to answer this.

I don't know how to change the settings. I am sorry but I can't help you right now but maybe I can help the next time. If you need any help in the future I will be glad to help you.

I've had some doubts. I am mainly here to learn how to build a successful website for my business. I am not too sure about all of the affiliate stuff. I feel like its gettin

Hi Antonia,

I have two referrals who have local businesses and they are loving WA. One is a general contractor and one is a wedding planner. They appreciate the quality of hosting and security even if they do not participate much here and don't get into the affiliate marketing side. They also use WA to learn how to build a good website and about SEO (which is still important so your local customers can find you!). That is why they signed up. They didn't want just a website that no-one could find.

If I had a local business, I can honestly say I would stay with WA as well. I have not seen anywhere else that gives so much for the price. I have heard so many times where people had problems with other hosting providers. They get stuck when the company promises one price but then 6 months or a year later they raise the price to something ridiculous. They are also not as responsive like our Site Support is here.

Jay also did some videos specifically on local marketing and I thought I saw some more training was coming on that subject.

We also have the great WA community who are incredibly valuable since they are there to provide so much additional training on top of the WA training. They often answer my technical questions as well. That is something you don't get with a hosting company elsewhere.

As for the videos...yes, they are very slow. I don't rely just on the videos however. I get a lot of information from the training that other members have done here and finding the answers to questions in posts. That is where the real gold lies here since you can very quickly (in under a minute) find the answers to most questions.

I truly believe if you take advantage of all that, WA is the best value you will find. Another huge advantage to WA is that we can request comments on our sites. When I requested comments on a new post last week, it went from being ranked on the third page of Google search results to the first overnight! That is an amazing benefit. WA members visiting our posts means we get additional traffic and increase our search engine ranking right off the bat instead of waiting months for other people to find us. Even when organic searchers do find our sites, they rarely comment, so it could take years to get the comments organically that we can get in a day here. That means a huge boost to your business since it is a boost to your visibility as you will rank much higher up the search results.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Jessica

So much truth in all you've said. Again thanks for clearing my thoughts up for me regarding all of this. I just had a moment of "oh my gosh this is taking forever what am I doing?". I'm feeling more confident about moving forward and just want to make sure I'm not cutting corners or spending too much time in one particular area. Much appreciated!

Let me know if you have any other questions. I would be happy to help!

I felt the same way at times when it was slow at the beginning. Now I am so glad I stuck it out since I am making a passive income as people find my reviews on the search engines and I make some money even if I have not posted anything or done anything on my websites recently. That feels so good to see the work really pays off in the end and as long as we just do some maintenance work to keep things fresh, then the site can drive itself. Of course this requires good SEO which we learn here at WA!

I am glad you are feeling better,
Jessica

I am a small business owner. I am building this site through WA,
and yes it can be very frustrating at times for me. i still have a ton
to learn. I don't think it is a waste of my time.

There are lessons you learn even if you decide to have someone else build or manage your site, having this knowledge will only help you.

Technology is evolving and it never stays the same, I feel WA keeps up on it and is able to introduce it to us. The community is always interacting,

I have had to ask many questions along the way. Their support on the site is very helpful too.

Don't get discouraged. If you have your own products I don't think it will be a problem to show and sell them on your site. Adding your own content it what having your own site is all about.

Keep on building your site. That is my advise
All the best to you.

Vita

Thank you, I think earlier I was feeling like a wandering puppy dog just needed this reassurance from a fellow business owner. I initially started this whole process for my business for that very reason. I didn't want to be left in the dark about the ever-changing world of the internet and its vitality to business owners these days and the future to come . Thanks again for the push I needed to hear it.

WA is great for building websites with e-commerce. I have a site where I am selling my own skincare. I am also using affiliate links, but you can just sell you own products if you want.

I agree with you, the training does take time to listen and absorb the information. Take you time and go at your own pace.

As far as transferring site rubix sites from WA to another server, I'm not sure how that works. I'm sure others on this thread will have a better answer. I transferred two of my sites that I've had for years over to WA when I joined, and that was pretty darn easy.

Thanks for responding, I have ideas of how to incorporate some affiliate links as well, i just wanted to be sure I'm not the only one approching WA this way. I appreciate the videos and the learn at my pace thing so it definitely works in my favor. For now i will keep plugging away at site building and just let the affiliate thing fall into place if there is room for it in the future. I do appreciate you taking the time to explain your personal experience and enjoyment of the services offered here.

I was able to figure out how to allow WA to host my domain name but when i did that now i dont have the option to set up my website as i would be able to had i purchased throug

All is well and problem has been solved. I am now back on my way to building my website. Super excited!!!

That seems strange. I would think you could set it up however you wanted but I am not very well versed in this area. I would ask Site Support. They are generally very fast and it is easy to ask a question.
