Do you have to register a hobby as a business? Can you sell stuff on ebay without being a registered business? Your website is just a hobby until it's making enough money to be taxable.

I'm just worried about legal side of running a website that might generate income. Maybe the question should be if this is tax free income. If I'm not wrong if you sell product or personal belonging on ebay or other sites like that, they take care of tax or any legal issues on their end but I guess this could be the same case with affiliate marketing.
