Hi everyone. This question has been bothered me for a while and i hope someone would let me know about the solution.
Recently i've wrote a review about Air Jordan Shoes but
If you are not an affiliate for amazon you cannot use their image as it belongs to them if you managed to take your own photo then you can use it just fine
I do not recall the training name that I followed here within WA. But I know for sure that there they said: if you want to promote a product and sell it through Amazon Affiliate you may use Amazon picture for that product. As I remember you create a review for a product that Amazon will be able to sell. I will try to find the training. I find very disturbing the fact that there is confused information about this topic.
There is no confusing information you don't own that image on Amazon therefore you can't legally use it, it's not yours, because you didn't take the photograph
This is why I have to find that training. Because I clearly remember that if you provide the product for Amazon you may use their photo. But I understand what you are saying. And you are also right if we only look at how we may choose images for our posts. They have to allow you to publish that image. As I told before I understand you but I am still confused.
Technically, it is theft because you are stealing an image which isn't yours. On the other hand, it's a shoe! Providing you don't take one attached to a leg which has their name tattooed on their ankle who's going to say who's shoe it is?
Well... should not be a problem is i screenshot from a merchant site? or i uses the pictures provided by amazon?
providing that no one can tell or prove that it's not your image I wouldn't worry about it. That basically means Use yourcommon sense

Can I screenshot a product pictures for my review articles?

It's best to contact the affiliate company to ask permission to use the photo for your website.
In regards to Amazon, as far as I know Amazon doesn't own the picture either. It's the SELLER that owns the picture. There are multiple sellers on Amazon (unless it's Amazon's product). Many people use Amazon images, and I've always heard that it's OK to use them as long as you promote that product with the image (not someone else's). I've also heard differently, so I guess it's up to you what you want to do.
I use Amazon images to promote Amazon products. For other companies, I use their images as long as it matches the one I promote. I haven't had an issue with it, but I can't guarantee the legality of it.
It is exactly what I understood. If we look at how to write a review part from the WA training we see that in the review it is used exactly the same picture as on the amazon. And yes, the review is used for a product sold through Amazon Affiliate. It is OK there it is OK for me.
So it is ok to use Amazon products pictures as long as i'm doing affiliate links to promote on that certain product? Well, i've been wanting to get into other affiliate programs other than Amazon but the request is still pending. So i guess i do have to put amazon's affiliate links at the mean time then.
It is Ok in my opinion. here is the training regarding the review page. Leveraging Product Reviews You will see the main picture in review and the picture on Amazon.
