Healthy living

We have a serious problem in this country with obesity and health issues that are caused by what we consume in our daily diets. We ARE what we eat, and the majority of us eat foods that are processed by humans, and chemically altered. These chemicals are toxic to the human body, resulting in all types of health issues.

We do what we do, more for convenience than for the health benefits.

The additives in the food we eat are to improve the visual appeal and prolong the "shelf life" of the foods, which benefits the sellers, not the consumers. All are regulated by the FDA, a government agency that was set up to protect the consumer.

In the Early 1950's, when they first began marketing margarine, my father resisted strongly. When asked, he said "When it comes to my health, I trust these cows in the barn more than I trust those Scientists in Washington".

The bad news is, these toxins build up in several of our Vital Organs, which attempt to screen our body's intake.

The good news is, our body tissues regenerate themselves over time, including our Vital organs.

If you are concerned about your health issues, there is an approach that will solve almost all issues by directly correcting the problem.

The first step is to detox your system. Their are several products marketed to do this, and my personal choice is the all natural products offered here.

The next step would be to correct the intake, by eating and drinking healthy organic products. a couple of resources I've found are:

How true Lyle, beside a well chosen and limited (over)consumption, we - as online networkers - have to avoid sitting too long in front of the computer, what also causes serious health issues: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/4-health-issues-sitting-long-avoid/ Cheers Lyle, to our health!

I agree with you wholeheartedly. We must change how we eat in order to regain or keep our good health and to curb the spiraling cost of medical care. We also need to look at other lifestyle practices, such as exercise and stress reduction. Great article!

Thanks, I appreciate your comments. Exercise and other stress reduction practices are an integral part of overall health, and they are much easier to pursue once the diet is addressed. (Higher energy levels).
