My Wealthy Affiliate Journey Thus Far
Hi to my Wealthy Affiliate Family,
I just wanted to share with you my journey so far.
I'm from Sydney, Australia and we have been in lock down since the end of June. My business has been shut down, and there is no relief in sight until maybe mid October. It has been a frustrating and challenging time to say the least.
I thank god every day that I found Wealthy Affiliate. It has been my savior. It has given me something to focus on other than the depressing life we have at the moment. Bloody COVID!
In the past, I have always been interested in starting an online business, but haven't been successful. I am in this for the long haul and am very determined to make it work.
The education here has been paramount and I have enjoyed every task that has been thrown my way.
Since my school-days, I have always struggled with writing. I have always told myself that I was no good at it and remained thinking that way until my journey started here at Wealthy Affiliate.
There are 2 websites I have started and have written around 19 blogs so far. Still, with lots to learn, I am feeling more confident as each day goes by. A few of my blogs have indexed on Google and just that achievement has made me happy. I have yet to earn any money, but I now know that these things take time.
I am patient and feel secure by this wonderful community that surrounds me here at Weathy Affiliate. Having the option to call on someone when I'm stuck, gives me great peace of mind.
My short term goal is to concentrate a little more on my websites. Not being tech savy, I struggle to work out how to set pages out the way I want them. I haven't looked yet, but I'm wondering if there is a class that helps with this sort of thing? I want to make sure that my websites are user-friendly and I want the reader to have a great experience.
In the long term, I would like to earn an income which I can put towards retirement. In saying that, I could be doing this for the rest of my days! Who would have thought that I would actually enjoy writing!
Anyway, thank you for reading about my journey so far. I look forward to keeping you all posted at every milestone I hit.

Hi Lydia, Yes, I watch with horror what is happening in Oz with lockdowns. Glad to say I am now in SW Florida and we are free and open.

Hi Lydia, I feel for you over there in NSW. Hang in there and as you say thanks for WA that keeps you occupied a good part of the time. I am in SA and watch daily what transpires over your way.
