Our Truck Drivers
I spoke to my sister on Sunday who told me that my grand nephew who is a truck driver is having difficulties getting food on the road.
All the restaurants are closed and their trucks are too big to go thru the drive thru. We all can see that. It is very obvious. Yet, when they park the trucks and go to the window to ask to buy food they are turned away and refuse to serve them.
These truck driver are the people that bring our food to the supermarket so that we can eat and medicine to the drug stores should we needed. Why are they being denied the food they required to nourish their body? How can they continued doing their jobs if they are hungry? How is this possible? That makes me very sad.

I ask the Wealthy Affiliate Community to please raise awareness to help these essential workers that we so much depend on.
These men and women are away from their wives, away from their husbands, away from children and families months at a time. Traveling from North to South and East to West making sure the products needed throughout the whole country are delivered in a timely manner.
They have the right to be as comfortably as possible when they are on the road. As it is,the job is not an easy one. Please help me make the Fast Food Industries be aware so they don't denied these essential workers their human rights.
This has nothing to do with the business. But, as a large community we can raise awareness for the benefit of those in need of help.

You are so right without these truck drivers food would not be distributed, the same as in Europe.

Thank you Stanley for connecting. This is a new experience to every one. We take this things for granted. When we go to the supermarket to shop we don't think about how the products get there. We see them and we buy them. This people drive days and nights and need to make stops to rest as well as eating. With all the restaurants close is difficult for them to find a place to eat. Under normal circumstances they parked the truck and go eat. But this are not normal circumstances. The fast food places need to realized that and start serving them.

Maybe it's true there is no food on the roads due to lockdown. I saw mini-stores are being emptied when we had a 3-day total lockdown.
There are some fast food stores open, such as McDonald, and Dunking Donuts drive thru. But how do you drive thru with an 18 wheeler truck? So they have to park the truck and go to the window. If they serve them there is no problem. The issue is that when they go to the window the store refuses to serve them.
Oh my goodness, those must be penalized.
I don't think they realize what they are doing, nor the consequences. That's why we need to make them aware.
What they are doing is a human right violation. They should serve anyone, it is their duty to do it. They shouldn't open that kind of business if they are not ready to take the challenge.
I understand. But people don't usually walk to a drive thru. The person serving on the drive thru expect to be serving cars not individual walking thru.
They should be admonished for not serving those truckers!
