Re-Centered Journey
Today I caught myself being overwhelmed with my journey. I was trying to get on the freeway with a tricycle. Heck, I don't even have the bike to attach the training wheels to.
After stepping back and reviewing the day. I remembered to pump the brakes, slow down and enjoy the ride. Like I am meant to do. Keep things simple. Follow direction of those who've succeeded. Trust in it and the system laid out for us to be sucessful, too.
My training is far from being completed, with my needing all the focused attention I have in every aspect. Syaying in the here and now. These trainings are in order and structured for a reason. Repetition is necessary for me. Many times I will rewatch the videos.
My jumping around with other trainings and classes became an obstacle and a huge distraction, from the greater picture. In essence I was drifting off into unchartered waters, alone. Not good or very smart.
Ther's time my monkey mind is telling me, " I should be joining up affiliates by now" or " I came here to learn to be an Affiliate Marketer. What's all this blogging stuff about?" yadda yadda yadda. Ohhh, Mr. Monkey please be quiet.
Fortunately I still have enough brain cells to return to reality and get re- focused on what's in front of me... not ahead. I have been here at least two hours doing something ever day, since I joined 7/31/22. Which I am proud of, it is one of my daily goals. But today has been about 12 hours, with some breaks in between. I did achieve what I wanted to by getting my first blog published, however I could have been able to do more had I stuck to the training structure. Oh well. Lesson learned.
I think I will put the tricycle away, put on some new shoes and move on down the road a step at a time. It's so much easier and peaceful that way, too.
Happy new week to everyone here, my new WA family.

Some good advice. I find myself jumping back and forth between different projects and need to focus on just what I planned for the day. Thanks
We all feel that way from time to time, David! The most important thing is for us to get up, dust ourselves off and get back into the fray!
Keep succeeding!
Jeff
Great thoughts and post here David!
Also often we all want to get ahead of ourselves. Training is so important and we can’t keep looking for shortcuts or jumping the gun. I know I sometimes fall into to that trap and like you have to pull back to stay the course.
We all need patience and will succeed thank you.

I love the way you write, David! It’s so easy to read and follow what you’re saying, almost as if you were in the same room as me. 😊
I must say, you did make me chuckle a bit (he he!) though the content you have written on this blog post of yours is providing some serious food for thought and a lesson to be learnt by all of us.
Thank you so much for sharing and happy beginning of the week to you too.
Maria 😊
Thank you Maria. I had to be visible with my thoughts with an intent as always to possibly help another in the same boat.

Hello David,
The beauty of Wealthy Affiliate is we have the opportunity to pick and choose our direction and stick with that until we become successful at it. Only then should we diversify.
We have a large smorgasbord of training available outside the core training. As you said, we must be careful we stay focused and don't try to learn too much at a time.
Good advice indeed.
