The Art of Determination
I dont know about you, but for me determination has always been key in accomplishing all of my goals and desires!
Lets travel back in time to before I was ever even a part of Wealthy Affiliate! About 8 years ago I was becoming a freshman in High School! Now going into high school I had the determination to become succesful at succeeding in School. Now everyones success and goals might look different but for me here were a few of the things I found important as a Freshman in high school!
- make a lot of friends
- join the football team
- get good grades (to keep my parents off my back)
- meet the girl of my dreams
- graduate high school
Now these were just a few of my goals, and these goals happened to ofcourse change throughout the experience of the 4 years that I attended Taft High School. The reason I put those 5 goals out for you to see were because those were some of the most tangible goals that I set and they are 5 goals that I ended up accomplishing!
I made a lot of friends in high school by joining extracurricular activities, being forced to intermingle with people due to class schedules, and by being myself!
I joined the football team and ended up receiving quite a few rewards at the end of the year award ceremony!
I ended up with a satisfactory grade point average (even though I could have done better)
I did meet the girl of my dreams durring my Senior year and she happens to be my Wife to this day!
And I did graduate high school!
Why am I mentioning all these goals and showing you that I accompished them?
Well that's because I am a firm believer in the fact that if you don't create goals for yourself you dont even have the chance to succeed!
If I never cared about graduating high school, who knows if I ever would have!
It is important to make goals for yourself, no matter what exactly it is that you are trying to accomplish!
That is no exception to being a part of Wealthy Affiliate!
ONE OF MY BIGGEST GOALS HERE AT WEALTHY AFFILIATE IS TO SUCCEED!
If I want to succeed, I should make those goals clear so that I can have check marks to check off along my journey!
Some of my goals for the upcomming year at Wealthy Affiliate
- Refer 300 members to go premium so I can get to go on the trip!
- Become an Ambassador
- Create Trainings for others
- Become helpful at navigating the site
- Use Wealthy Affiliate to build my online business
I really hope that over the next few months to come I can check off some of those goals and become better at becoming a Wealthy Affiliate
My progress so farI have been a premium member now for a few months and have started around 5 new websites! When I first started I felt like I had to hit the floor running and try and develope as much as I could as fast as I could!
This was both a good thing and a bad thing!
It was good because I started working on multiple websites and trying to create income multiple ways! I now have multiple options to sit down and develope further!
It was a bad thing because I quickly became overwhelmed which caused me to momentarily lose site and interest!
I recently posted about finishing what you start, and I developed one of my first ideas further! This idea of mine was to create a website geared towards helping others become members at Wealthy Affiliate. I have recently re-gained all my motivation and have developed that site more in depth!
It is now a fairly good website and it serves more of a purpose now more than ever!

So thats it for now! I thought I would create this post to share with you all my experience thus far as a Wealthy Affiliate Member and I hope that my experience can help out in some way with all of you here at WA!

that's definitely true determination changes everything, one thing a lot of successful folks have in common. But I honestly think you should stick to one site at a time once you've started, cause you don't want to get overwhelmed. (Ask some of those big guys out there they'll tell you)
Like your post though, stay motivated you'll be successful
Awesome post, and I love your goals! Goals are great because they are something tangible to work towards and when you set them, you know that they will require hard work and patience to achieve.
The problem arises when we lose focus or patience, which only leads to frustration and procrastination.
I've gone through many ups and downs and almost quit a while back, but I'm extremely determined and somehow stuck it out.
I now make nearly a full-time income from my site. It took two years of struggle, much longer than I initially envisioned, but it was absolutely worth it.
So I would encourage you to keep your eyes on the goals you've set. Don't get discouraged when, if a year from now, you haven't achieved them. Just keep working towards them and know that you WILL achieve them even if it takes longer than you wanted.
Keep going, you're doing great!
