Opt-In Pages when you're selling
Make it simple: one choice only (No Bypass Link), not fancy or distracting, not too much text, easy to find opt-in link/box (1st thing they see/above the fold = no need to scroll down), consider the opt-in box on the right.
Use outcome/result words <--this is similar to the guide I wrote on captivating informational titles... (please check out other blogs)
Of course, you're going to have to offer a gift...something irresistible. Please note, Newsletter is NOT a gift (you can add it, but it's not an irresistible gift).
- Assuming you're going to be educating in the future, the IRRESISTIBLE gift must be educational - an example of the content you're going to be giving in the future.
- Your gift must also lead to continued desire for your program.
- Ensure your gift is titled well (I'm not going to replicate her content here, but you can get more information on this through the "IrresistibleMarking" link below)
Ensure your opt-in box is copywritten right.
Background info on why not to include a bypass link: "The purpose of website is to bring clients to your programs...if someone is so resistant to receiving your free gift won't buy your program either." I love Vrinda Normand's to-the-point style.
