As if we Never Said Goodbye
I thought about this moment for awhile now. The time has come for me to move on. My website is complete and I have learned so much from my WA community that I felt I had to say goodbye. I've read so many blogs about many different things and I loved the variety. I've learned the importance of checking out a person's profile instead of just trusting them. I learned so much from the fairy writer and the importance of content and using keywords to give my blog a chance to move up the charts so to speak. I learned that it's okay that none of my items that I wrote ended up on googles first page and I also realized to build an audience: writing is the key --hey better late than never! I mean I am finally "getting" it. Here's to new beginnings! Right! Write whatever comes to mind -- like a river is flowing from me now!
Right now I'm listening to Glen Close singing As if we Never Said Goodbye. I had no idea she could sing and I sure do miss the theater! I must say I will miss you and it is as if we never said goodbye. Goodbye's usually make me cry but not today!
My photo is of when my wife and I were living in Hawaii and we would go to the Merri Monarch which they put on every year in Hilo. This is an event where hula dancers come from all over Hawaii to compete against each other to see which one is the better group. This competition lasts for about a week and once they are done we the audience gets to chose which one had the better dancers. Along with the dancers are various artist who have their wares on display. I am standing in front of an artist who does beautiful oil paintings of Pele. I am having the time of my life living there. Hawaii is like none other.
While living on the Big Island of Hawaii we had a few scares. The first one was an alarm went off on our phone informing us a missle had just been launched and we had like 15 minutes to get to safety. It's like where we gonna go? We didn't even have time to call our friends and family to say goodbye. So it was me and my wife and we had a friend living with us and I made coffee and we all sat in the living room talking about our family as we enoyed our last cup of coffee. Then about a half hour goes by and they tell us false alarm. Yeah sure -- that's for another day too. The other incidence was the volcano erupting and we figured Pele had gotten upset with someone for taking more of her rocks. Anyway with the volcano erupting and earthquakes shaking every five minutes we decided it was time for us to move back to the mainland. Seattle is where we reside and luckily my son took good care of the property.
So here is the third verse of the song: "As if we never said goodbye" in case you aren't familiar with it -- look it up it's beautiful. This song has been sung by many famous artists:
I've spent so many mornings
Just trying to resist you
I'm trembling now, you don't know how I've missed you.
Missed the fairytale adventure, in this ever-spinning playground, we were young together.
It is as if we never said goodbye!
Abundant blessings everyone!
Goodbye, Farewell Adu

Hey Laurie you never know what is in store for you in your next big chapter. Happy to have had you and to know that you have learned quite a lot while you were here.

P.S. Wherever you land it's probably a good idea to keep staying away from missiles and volcanos.
