Big Changes

Since my original website was becoming too wide and less focused, I decided to split my material between two sites.

Old Site

Going forward, lowellann.com will focus solely on consulting/coaching services.

New Site

Beingyourownceo.com will focus on hosting live weekly Success Circles, getting started as an on-line biz and reviews of products and services that support solopreneurs.

The Process

Moving the material was quite an exercise! Tech support recommended All-in-One WP Migration. What happens is that a complete copy is made of the original site and posted to the new site. I was thrilled to see that all links (including images, post and pages) got changed to the new url automatically. Then there are three more steps: 1. Removing the unwanted on the new site plus creation of new Home Page, some new images and some new content. 2. Removing the unwated from the original site plus some menu changes and a redirect or two. 3. Adding new site to Google Console and submitting sitemaps of both sites. This looks so simple here in this short paragraph, but it took me the better part of three weeks to accomplish.

I have requested some feedback on the new site and looking forward to hearing how others relate to the new site.

Finally, I want to thank tech support for the prompt and helpful way that they faciliated this exercise.
