Breaking Free from my Comfort Zone
One of the hardest thing anyone can do or learn to do is breaking out of our comfort zone. And it's not because we are incapable of trying new things, or doing the "impossible", but It's simply of matter of will power. It all comes down to one thing, do I have the willingness to do something different? or try something new?. Well, writing it seems like a simple equation, but the truth is, even that may not be that simple for some people. Some of the synonyms associated with will power are: drive, commitment, inner strength etc. So why is it that we have such a hard time doing something that is out of the "norm" for us.
That answer will vary depending on the person. A lot of it will revolve around "responsibilities" that we may feel bounded to, that may or may not hinder us from leaving our comfort zone. Whichever your reasoning is, I do understand that it is not an easy transition. Anything foreign to us we approach with hesitation, and caution because we simply just don't know the ventures that lies ahead.
In my case, joining Wealthy affiliate was stepping out of my comfort zone. In addition to the many decisions that I have made to seek that things that brings me joy and happiness and "just do it". For a while I have been seeking to work online, because I want the freedom to do as I please, to maximize my income as I wish, and simply to work for myself and break away from modern day slavery of cooperate America. My aspiration for freedom became my drive and what I become committed to obtain. So naturally the will power surfaced. I took it upon myself one day and said, it was time to get serious about the things that I want, no more speaking on, but actually doing the things I needed to do to get where I wanted to get.
Now, It's a step, that initial decision. The hardest part follows. Actually following through with that decision. I have to teach myself of the reason I made the decision in the first place. And each time I am reminded, I push through a little more. A decision takes a matter of seconds to make. The results of that decision can take a lifetime to MAINTAIN, not to simply achieve it, but to keep the result of that decision alive for many years to come.
Anyways, I don't mean to trail on but simply a brief interpersonal exert as a reminder to understanding our "why?" and gaining the willpower to push through the "how?"

I agree with you that its not an easy thing to juggle around different things: work, education and sometimes raising kids. We usually prefer remaining in our comfort zones.

You are perfectly right love1992, when the need for a change is stronger than the fear of the Unknown, that's when we take that step. But that's the easiest part. I'm sure there are many subscribers to WA who do not move this forward - and partly I think it's when they realise that the free membership only accesses them to limited services. Others will just sign in for a nose about whilst it's free, but with no real interest or commitment. And that then streamlines the WA community to the ones who in spite of the initial above reactions, want to see this venture through, committed as they are to make it work. It will take bagfuls of hard work and perseverance (stubbornness, one could call it), but I'm sure we'll get there!!
