Ok, I rarely do this (posting about stuff unrelated to affiliate marketing and appealing to members) but this is important.

I'm gonna sound like the creepy vegetarian activist right now. lol ;)

More seriously, there's an online petition right now that intends to put pressure on The European Commission for them to ban animal testing for cosmetics. Actually, measures have already been taken in the sense that a ban was supposed to come into effect in March 2013, which is great, but they want to postpone it until 2019 (!) because they are weak and afraid of some big cosmetic brands.

Several cosmetic brands have actually stopped animal testing and there are many serious alternative testing methods that are cruelty-free but without a ban from the European Commission, this unjustified and revolting practice will still go on. We just don't have the moral right to use animals. They are not "supply", period.

Ok, this is a European regulation and I know many of you are American but, hey, I love you guys! :) And you can sign from anywhere in the world. It's more like the human race saving the animal race, see? No stupid borders. Just the will to live in harmony with other species.

I'm not forcing you, maybe you don't care and I'm tolerant with that, I know there are many causes that may sound way more important to you right now but this is, to me, as important as any other cause.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post and signing the petition. I honestly don't know if this will change anything but I hope it will. As an animal rights defender, I can tell you that since the animal liberation movement started in the 70s, many laws have been created and the cruelty against animals has decreased. It's a long struggle but there are results.
