Picking up the pieces
so I'm a couple of months in. I've made a grand total of 7 sales between my website and other platforms. This is great!!
But I have had to really knuckle down and make this happen. I went for nearly 3 weeks without access to my site. Yes, I got put on the naughty step after missing my first months subscription payment 🤦♀️
To begin with, my bank got its knickers in a twist over authorising payment, so I had to sort that out, then my father was taken gravely ill. He has heart issues, rattles with pills when he walks, has had a bypass and 2 stents. He had 3 heart attacks in a week.
I was getting ready to help my mother prepare for the worst, when he had a sudden turn around and slowly, began to improve. He's not out of the woods yet, but he's as stubborn as I am, and just isnt ready to cash his chips in just yet.
So I got all my affairs in WA sorted, and got back on the train to success, because if I stop, it ALL stops. All that time, effort and focus would simply come to an abrupt end, vanishing into the dusty forgotten basement of the internet to fester away with the likes of Orkut and ChaCha (remember them?).
What you get out of anything entirely depends on what you put into it. There will be times when the effort you put in pays off fantastically, and other times when little seems to come of your hard work. These swings and roundabouts are all part of owning and running a business. And absolutely no body said it would be easy, and if they did, they lied!😂
I guess I'll round off by saying, do not give up. Even if it feels like it's the only thing you can do. Just keep going, keep drafting, keep working at it, keep believing in yourself and look after your projects, and maybe, one day, they'll look after you 😉🤩

I'm sorry that your father has a few health issues, I'm glad that he has taken a turn for the better.
It's fantastic that you are making sales, that's a great way to start. I normally find after the first sale, more sales follow.
As I think you know, it's important that we are consistent with our websites, I appreciate that this is easier said than done at times. I have to say that all the successful Internet marketers that I know are consistent; consistency is key.

Consistency is where it's at, and whilst no one is perfect and life continues to happen often despite best efforts, picking up pieces and putting them back together and simply carrying on, is perfecting consistency 😉
I dream of being successful and continue to put one foot in front of the other, even if they are only small steps.

I agree with you, sometimes we just have to pick up the pieces. I have an offline business that keeps me busy, which means my online business can suffer at times. I know there is such huge potential for the online business! It wouldn't take much to multiply the online income.
The good news is that there are many success stories here at Wealthy Affiliate. We have everything we need to create a successful business online. The main thing is that we go through the training and take action at every available opportunity.

I am sorry to hear about your Father's health issues, but he sounds like a fighter.
