Level 5 Journeys - FUN

I have completed all five levels now. Well, let's say that I have finished what I can. I have not met my small goal of Fifty dollars a month through my website yet so, I couldn't sign up for Premium Plus.

Level 5 took some time for me to complete; the first couple of weeks I was sick with a cold that turned into walking pneumonia. I am thankful the antibiotics knocked it right out of me.

The rest of the journey is of learning and fun.

Upon feeling better I added another post to my site. A couple of days later my daughter calls and hires me to babysit my grandchildren. Ari and Liam are very lovable young toddlers that keep me on my toes. For the last four weeks I have been with them four days out of the week. This is a new thing for me for sure. It is a small amount of money, but getting paid to be with your grandchildren certainly is something special.

I can manage to sneak in a few posts while I'm there. Now, though I have to be the stern and loving grandma. I can't spoil my little darlings then go home. Ari told me a few times that I was a mean grandma. This was a learning process for me. How do I handle situations like that? I learned in just a few days that I had to stand my ground or these two teeny tiny people would walk all over me. So I tried to explain to her the importance of a nap (VERY important), and then said I love you Ari, now lay down and rest for a while. It does make a difference in how the day ends.

I have gained a little over 300 followers on Instagram, but I have learned that means nothing. How do you get people to engage and be interested enough to check out your website? I even asked on one of my post, " Do you know the secret to growing gigantic strawberries, please tell?" There were a few likes but no secret was revealed.

Something else about Instagram.....it is full of males whom I think want to stalk and prey on women. It's not quite the social business I thought it was. Still figuring it out.

I would be glad to here some ideas on this if you please.

There are almost 300 followers of me on Pinterest, but again it's nothing, yet. It's similar to selling door to door; Knock on a thousand then make a sale. Knock on 500 more then a sale. (There is someone right now on Instagram telling me how his wife died a while back, but now it is time to move on.....bla bla......) Sorry for the off subject interjection. I have learned to ignore. I do want to be friendly and make a comment here and there but ignoring saves a lot of time.

Any way I understand that it takes up to six months before you start to get steady traffic.

I wouldn't mind any ideas or suggestions here either please.

I wrote a blog comparing five different garden soil tools. Today I did a soil test of my backyard garden with one of the tools I promoted. This was a perfect time to do a video. It ended up being a two parter. I don't know how to edit yet. The first part was okay to upload to my site but the second part I guess was too long, just 3 minutes. I wasn't able to upload it.

So, I started a YouTube channel. Me with a video on YouTube! I can't believe it. Doing a video then putting it on public display was not me. I never would have done that in the past. But it was fun. The videos are far from professional but I know they will get better with each one I do.

The second part is now up on my website. I still find it amazing there is a video on YouTube with me in it. Was it the same way for you?

Life is one long journey with many short ones along the way. This level 5 has been a journey for me, but it has been FUN.

Growing and learning one journey at a time. That is what makes life more interesting.
