The browser shows the same thing - just the text, but not blotted out. I was only interested in this for use on a particular post idea I had, an ancillary topic related to redacted documents

Check the page in a browser, rather than just the visual editor.

When you have the yellow highlight on your page, select the text, cklick on the Capital A in the tool bar, chose for costum and fill in the same code ffff00, that 'll do the job
