Time to go
Hello everyone,
After a great time and a very educational period here on this platform, I have decided, after much deliberation, to terminate my membership for the time being. It won't be a goodbye for good, I definitely plan to come back in a few years.
Over the years I have experienced many innovations on WA, and I am already very curious to see what the platform will look like in a few years.
At the moment I just have too many (care) tasks on my shoulders. Too much to make optimal use of my websites.
I saved and copied all my websites. These will also be off the air for the time being.
A large part of my work here on WA remains accessible to everyone and free to use. I have canceled a number of training sessions due to the risk that the information will become outdated in the coming years. I hope everyone who comes across one of my training blogs will like it.
My membership runs until October 24, 2023, after which I will no longer be able to respond to questions and comments.
Edit:After I asked whether it was correct that my membership would expire in 17 days, Carson postponed my departure until November 27, 2023
Maybe see you again in a few years.

Instead of taking your sites down, find a hosting alternative and let them keep aging.
We have a site which we haven't touched in 6 years. It's still getting nearly 400 visitors a month. Now we're finally working on it again, and when we launch the next 300 pages later this month, it should start doing well right away, because Google already knows we're there. Take advantage of already existing online and leverage it instead of wasting it.
Thanks for your advice, Jannine, but they are already gone. I did consider it, but after all the pros and cons I decided not to keep them. With what I know now, I will approach things completely differently in the future.
So sorry to hear your life is being taken over by (care) obligations. It's all too recognizable. I'm sorry to see you leave. Thank you for the great trainings, information, support, and advice you've so generously been sharing here. I've learned a lot from you and I appreciate that big time.

I understand your situation, and I appreciate your honesty.
I cringe whenever I see people say that anyone can make affiliate marketing work under any circumstances. It isn't true and there needs to be more honesty about that, and what it will require.
I wish every blessing on your road ahead and I pray you'll have an inner peace and strength to draw from.

How nice that you still remember our early days. It certainly takes hours to keep a website running, and articles to earn from it. I have other priorities now, Stella. Like my mother, for example, she is 96 and still lives "completely" independently, although she certainly cannot do this without the help of her children.
I plan to come back again in a few years.
When I first saw this I was shocked to hear and still in shock as you have played a great instrumental role to all of us here with what you have freely shared to many.
Loes I will certainly miss you and also thank you for all you have done for all members here.
Hopefully, you will come back sooner than later but also understand as well.

Hi Roy, 2014. The time I was ambassador, I reached position 3 :) Ambassador for 4 years I see that you are now a 515 days ambassador, then you know how much time you have to spend here to maintain that rank
In the meantime, my work has changed and I seem to have less and less time left in the day. (Could also be age ;)

That's amazing that you reached position three as an ambassador! I know you seem to be highly active in the community for a long time. There was also another lady who was always at the top, I can't remember her name. I have a feeling that she may have also moved on.
I didn't know that I've been an ambassador for 515 days, I must admit I haven't looked!
I appreciate that it does take time to stay at the top, I'm not particularly trying. I'm just responding to a few comments and writing blog posts now and then. I do believe that when you have quite a few blog posts, it helps or makes it easier to maintain a high ranking as people are naturally reading your content.
I do really enjoy working online, but the biggest issue is the fact that I have an offline business which takes quite a bit of my time. Time is an amazing thing and I understand where you're coming from; the days just disappear!

Hey Catherine, we go way back, and for sure, I will miss WA too, but like everyone else, there are only 24 hours in my days, I wish you much strength with your caring responsibilities.
You will be missed Loes, by those of us who have been here long enough to know who you are. But there is no point in paying for something you don't use
