Other plugins can cause a Yoast SEO Meta Box error

I am writing to celebrate and share information which may help, should you encounter a similar problem.

I struggled for 5 days to have the Yoast SEO plugin work properly on my site. After reading ‘Yoast - Polishing Content for SEO’ by Aussiemso, I went ahead and installed the Yoast SEO plugin right away. I believed I had set up the plugin correctly, however, when in edit mode, the Meta Box could only show the titles without the analysis report and the editable field to enter the focus keyphrase as reflected in the screenshot below.

I requested for help from Aussiemuso, which she offered wholeheartedly but, we just could not get it right. I performed google searches for the error multiple times but, all suggested solutions did not help.

Surely, when you seek you will find. Today, I decided to cheat on my employer time (hope I am safe :) ) and tried to fix this problem. I went on google again and searched. After several results, I found this page.

I performed the two actions as indicated in the screenshot above. I then went to all the posts, hit the Edit button on one of the posts and I got it right!

This meant that one of the Plugins was causing the error. One by one, I went back to activate the plugins and back forth, I went in edit mode to see if the Yoast SEO analysis were still showing after activating every plugin. I found out the NISO Carousel Slider plugin was the culprit.

I do not remember how I installed the Niso Carousel Slider plugin but, I deactivated it. Things are looking great right now and I am off to BETTER OPTIMIZATION!

Blessed Weekend!

Linda

Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad you got it figured out.
Have a great weekend,
Mickey

Thank you Mickey.

Trial and error is what it takes sometimes.

I agree! Thanks for the comment

Thanks Linda for the heads up. Glad it worked. That Aussie is a great helper!

You are welcome Kuku Joe! Indeed she is. She even felt bad that we could not resolve the issue.

Well done Linda
Your persistence paid off. I like to use my site-rubix domains as a place to experiment with themes and plugins. I did this after experiencing a number of issues with certain plugins. Jim

Yes persistence is key. Talking about experimenting with themes and plugins. I have tried so many themes. Most themes look great prior instalment, you can help but try. Thanks for the comment.
