The Philippines – A country of Entrepreneurs

The Philippines is a country of over 106 million people, with a 94% literacy rate and over 70% of the population literate in the English language. Per capita income is over $3,000 and growing, with only a decline in recent months due to the Covid Pandemic. Women own almost 90% of all business in the Philippines, including some of the largest Corporations. The Philippines ranks 18th in the World for entrepreneurship, with the US still being number 1. Over 90% of all Internet searches in the Philippines are through Google, so Geotargeting of the Philippines is easy to do, and can reap great rewards, with the right offers. What is the “right offer?” Most likely one that offers Filipinos an opportunity to build a business or their own. But, there is also a huge market for high-end goods of all types, as the rich there love expensive things, just like everywhere else, I guess.

All told, there are millions of people in the Philippines seeking to start a business, and many of those speak and read English. It is a hotbed of small business owners, with huge numbers of young people seeking a better life through an Internet business.
