Royalty Free Photos: Take those pictures yourself!
Many people here seem to have questions and worries about pictures and how to find royalty-free pics. Stop worrying, take the pictures yourself! Honestly, it is not difficult and you don't need a fancy camera to do that. I own an old iPhone4 (yes, really) and that works just fine for pictures, the quality is good enough for any website.
-You will save a lot of money by using your own pictures instead of stock photos
-You won't ever have to worry about royalties or rights
Just be brave, it is fun, take an hour of your time and start taking pictures around you. Even if you have a specialised niche website and need to buy some photos of your products, you're still likely to need some additional pictures for blogs and articles.
People love pictures, so give them pictures. Almost any pictures will do, really! Just at home you can start snapping useful background pictures, and outside you can get good and useful pics from trees, houses, clouds, sea, lakes, flowers... The list is endless, and the pictures will come in handy, believe me.
Create a folder on your desktop that you every once in a while fill with your snapshots (when you've had time to take some) and then you have your good picture resource ready for another week or two before you need any new ones.

Thanks Lizzu. I've been raiding my old photo albums for images lately. It's great to find a good use for those old pictures that would otherwise be gathering dust in the archives and they often work better than the generic stuff you find online.
Yep, I'm doing the same! It's fun isn't it! So many good photos over the years :) Nice to put them in use.
