Hi all!

I am now in this weird traffic status where I have lots more traffic coming from social media than SEO traffic, especially after the Google Core updates at the end of last year.

I'm serious: if you have a very visual niche, like both of my niches are, one in the crafting niche and one in the Africa Safari niche: get your behind on Pinterest and YouTube!

It was a little bit slower during the holidays, which is normal, but look how the outbound links are growing again, and I didn't even spend lots of time on it!

I was about to sell my miniatures website, because Google disappointed me, time after time, even though I have well-researched and great content (yes, I am that confident that I have great content, as confirmed by someone well-known here on the platform), but I stopped focussing on Google search console, because it drives me bazooka now each time I look at those numbers.

Also: do you knit, crochet, or create gloves for your dog, whatever? Create videos and place them on YouTube! It doesn't matter how amateur they look, just keep creating short (vertical) videos, and refer them to the long-form content videos: AND USE YOUR COMMUNITY page on your Youtube channel, every time you create a new blog post!

So unless you are AN INSTAGRAM INFLUENCER ALREADY, stay away from it, don't waste your time on it, but focus on PInterest, YouTube and maybe Facebook.

Facebook is a bit tricky, as I do have 2 large FB groups, but pushing traffic to my website is hard, because your posts can get lost in the FB algorithms and your posts can get lost between other people's posts.

But I have seen traffic grow because of filling in a daily agenda for a month. Which apparently you can also do for a group,, so I will be testing that out.

But again, if you have a very visual niche, like birdwatching or photography, do not just depend on SEO any longer, but get out there, please!

(I have erased my name in the screenshots, as I don't want you to follow me on Pinterest, yes you read that right: I do NOT want you to follow me there, because you are NOT interested in my niche!)

Does this mean that you can stop blogging? of course not, or you wouldn't have a sales page to link to, but if you're in a niche like mine, stop mentally breaking yourself down, because Google doesn't like you!

Follow pinterest classes here from Jay and DianeScorpio or go search on YouTube for information and dive straight into this from the beginning of your website, and it will get you a consistent and stable traffic source!

Be sure to apply to any rules of Pinterest or other social media though, that is very important to not get into trouble!

Oh and by the way: if you ever should ran out of pictures or videos to pin, don't be afraid to use AI! People are afraid of this, but it is already everywhere and not to be avoided any longer anyway, adapt!

That's a lot of exclamation marks in one post! LOL

But just wanted to shout it out there and good luck!

Congrats, Lizzy! 👍👍

I started getting serious about my Pinterest account about 6 weeks ago and my monthly views have gone from about 3,000 to over 30,000; but nothing like the success you’re having.

Crafts are huge in Pinterest, so I go for it! 😎

Rock On! 🤘
