Etsy Affiliate Gurus, I Have A Question For You!
Due to constraints on my time, I've had to ignore my blogs the past several months. Despite this I've still have had affiliate clicks from my nerdy swag shop go through to Amazon and Etsy. The definitiion of passive income, right!
As a less time-consuming method to generate some base income that would allow me the time I desperately need to focus on growing the blogs, I've started dabbling in print on demand and have already made a few sales. My question is this:
Can I use an AWIN Etsy affiliate link on my nerd store for my own products?
First off, I know I cannot make commission off my own Etsy store.
My thinking is this:
I could leverage additional SEO from my blog, help bump my rankings within Etsy with direct links, and potentially earn commission on stuff bought from other Etsy shops at the same time.
If this is possible I'd LOVE to impliment this. I do not want to put my affiliate or seller status at risk, however.
Does anyone have any knowledge or insight on this idea?
I've done a cursory search for some clarification but haven't found anything definitive yet. I don't have much time for research so I figured I'd leverage some collective knowledge here first.

Yes, you can become an Etsy affiliate and promote their links on your blog. You are correct that you cannot use an Etsy affiliate link to promote your own shop, but you can promote shops belonging to others.

I'm not sure if you understood my question. I am already an Etsy affiliate. I'm just wondering if someone get to Etsy via my affiliate link and ends up buying a product off my shop would I still make a commission on purchases from OTHER persons shops during their visit. I understand any items from my personal Etsy shop would not earn a commission.

Good news is yes, you would make a commission on purchases from anyone else's shop even while the customer buys something from you as well.
