Perseverance And Knowledge

We have all heard the saying “work smarter, not harder” (though I wonder if working smarter and harder may be better)” The problem is that if you are like me, it takes time to acquire that knowledge that makes you smarter. Knowledge doesn't do you any good if you don't have it. And unless you hang in there long enough, you won't acquire it. The way I see it is that success comes one step at a time. Sometimes it is a big step but usually it is by a countless number of little steps. And sometimes, no matter how much desire you have and how hard you work, you just can't take any more steps forward. At that point what you need is that next piece of knowledge to get you there. It's not a mountain you are facing, just that next small step, “by perseverance the snail reached the ark” Charles Spurgeon.

So if you are at a place where you are ready to give up or have hit that brick wall like me, remember that we don't have to tear down the whole wall, we just have to take away the next brick. We just have to acquire that next piece of knowledge to get us there and today could be that day. Why not hang in there and find out!
