Google webmaster tools review
GOOGLE IS GOD ON THE INTERNET
Now you would think that Google would simplify things a little more for those of us who are trying to run a business online - WRONG!
A perfect example of this is myself - I have been running an online business now since 2007 and was Google Ranked fairly at the top of the list. Yet, now I have discovered with my new businesses that there are things called Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
All of which is basically a requirement if you want people to find your website and participate in anything you have to offer or even find you in the Google search engine.
To the brilliant hands of Google the Webmaster Tools may be the most awesome and simplistic game happening. Yet how many of you know exactly what a DNS server is? And how many of you actually know where to put the little html code in that Google provides you with for your website?
Let me share my story - I have been two days trying to figure out what to do with this code so the new businesses can be found through the Webmaster Tools, now what does that tell you? And trust me I have done my research on the matter to only come up empty handed.
I mean really how hard is it? That is what I thought until I became so angry and frustrated I said "to hell with Google!"
They should be more specific - like "where is the darn DNS Server? And exactly where do you put their url?! Not everyone is Google and technical savvy and I know many of you are going to go through the same when or if you decide to create an online business.
Not far in the future online businesses are going to be all that is happening to reach out to billions of people around the world. Now as I see it Google needs to step up and start thinking about all the new online users and simplify things for those who are non-technical savvy.
Now don't get me wrong I believe Google is an awesome company and provides a lot of resources we would otherwise not have - I don't know about you but I love my Gmail!

You are right. The webmaster tools were designed to webmasters that were technical. Today many web sites are self managed. So, some tools and even Big G have not caught on. There is also no incentive for them to do much for the general consumer/user because they don’t make their money here.
I feel your pain, Lita, and I'm nowhere near as far along in experience as you have. Google almost reminds me of the old Giants in the early 20th century that forced governments to enact anti trust laws!
I am right with you on your statement but I am a believer that there is no game so big I cannot tackle it - therefore Google and I are about to wrestle..LOL
I had the same issue and had to research how to do it. The greatest place to find answers is that search bar on the top here in WA. Just type in what you are looking to learn and there are at least three different ways to show you and learn. I hope that they do make it easier but it's Google so what you gonna do. I hope that you have some great success here in the new year.

Thank you I will try the search and see what I can find. I watched Kyles' video but now it has all changed on Webmaster tools. I will get this figured out.

You have a great experience. And I for one is but a baby in this techy aspect of online business! I appreciate your info n this subject. Mow it gives me something to do really seriously. I have to know all about it. Maybe we can help one another in this thing! BTW, I use Gmail as well.
