I would love to spend the rest of my life travelling, serving in missions and playing music
That's the dream, isn't it? Retirement and R&R. Just that everyone out there has some way of doing it and not everything suits everyone.
I went through training in forex but I am so risk adverse, I won't do it. Moreover, I think I hate the idea of staring at charts and numbers all the time.
I got involved in e-commerce but I don't have the resources to invest in so much training (fees and time) to make the business fly. Then there is the dreary customer service tasks. I like the talking over the phone but in e-commerce, it's always emails and more emails. Worst is, even with legitimate reasons, if I do not want to use the company's brands of products, I become disloyal.
On the flip side, WA is asking me to indulge in my secret interests. Things I'd let my mind wander into when I'm waiting for a meeting to happen, when I'm waiting on a client's feedback, things I'd surf on when I'm having breaks at work. That's kinda hard to say "no" to.
Instead of explaining to a boss why an interest like architecture or cat furniture could ever benefit my work in graphic design or advertising, I'm left to my own devices to grow on these thoughts.
So anyway, if I get more and more time freed up with more money in the bank, I am surely going to indulge in guitar playing and traveling to assist in missions.

Good morning Lisa, those are indeed great goals and as most great achievements, imagine how crazy it must had sounded, and still does to this day, the dream of going to the Moon and also to return back to Earth.
In light of that, our own dreams appear small and insignificant. Here at WA we have many great achievers, young and old, Speaking of Singapore, unless you have already done so, you may want to follow @JerryHuang who is an amazing young man with very impressive goals,
Last, but not least, nothing gets created out of inaction and the Lord our God would surely not be pleased with his creation should they fail to utilize their God given talents.
May God bless you and guide you on the path to success as you follow your dreams!
Thank you for the reminder. Yes, Jerry is already in my network. I'm seeing a new side of life from just knowing it's time to be semi-retired.
That's one of my goals too Lisa, more free time to assist in mission work.
Wishing you all the best with your online journey.
Actually so far I'm good. My blog posts are all saved as drafts and delayed really cos I'm just getting the hang of blogging here. :) More to come...

Great goals Lisa. Mission work is something I have thought about with my church. They do many mission trips throughout the year. For me to go on one takes a great deal of income out of my paycheck at work. Much like what vacations do, so it isn’t cost effective for me to be a good steward with my time when I am temporarily unable to be a good steward with my finances by going on a mission trip. So, with WA and the residual income possible that would free me up in so many ways financially and with time. So, based on that, I understand totally your position...if that’s the case. So, I hope for much success for you here!!
Thanks! I know of a few people with exactly the same mindset, too.
