My First Blog.
The goal of many weekends for me is to get out on the water before winter sets in... not too many more days left. Fortunately I'm not far from quite a few lakes & rivers. This morning I set out to check out Lake Michigan - I'm trying to get photos of the trees in full color along the lake if I can. Preferably off shore from the kayak.
At my house, about 15 - 20 min from the lake, all was well... nice & calm, sun shining - blue skies, birds singing their happy songs... you get the picture.
So I load up the truck with my buddy Rose (my 16 month old German Shepherd puppy) to check it out. I've been around this lake all my life & I know that some days this lake is smooth as glass and other days she is ROCKIN' & ROLLIN'! Well today was she was ROLLIN' No Kayaking for me! But that's ok... Rose & I took a nice long walk and I got to thinking about how blessed I am:
Blessed because I'm healthy & fit enough to be able to take walks like this along the shore
Blessed because I have the gift of sight with which I can see all the beauty that mother nature has gifted us with
Blessed because I have reliable transportation to get me to this place to have this experience
Blessed because I have such a wonderful loving fun kind and gentle friend like Rose who loves to go with me wherever I go.
It also reinforced the reasons why I so dearly want to succeed with an online business. I want the financial freedom to live my days as "I" choose. Please don't misunderstand me...I have a good job. I make good money and I have been so very blessed throughout my career to work for a company that has allowed me to support my family in so many ways. But at this point I am craving the freedom to decide how "I" will live EACH day and where... and I believe that an on line business can help me realize that vision. I'm willing to work to make that happen...
Thank you Wealthy Affiliates for showing me the way and thanks to all of the people within this community that give so freely of their time to help others. I am blessed to be a part of this as well.
The trees have not yet reached full color so maybe Rose & I will get another chance to walk along the shore and appreciate how blessed I am.

Thank you Rick. I've added another goal as well... to get good enough that I will one day be able to give back to WA all that I am getting here and more!

Beautiful! A lot of us are more worried about what we DON'T have and tend to forget the little things, and where we truly are blessed, so this post is a good reminder.
I agree, I like my job, even though it's "entry level" in my case, and my boss does want me to stick around and has a future planned for me, I've got plans of my own, and I'm going to put the time into my own business so I can politely tell him where to stick it (in a friendly manner, he's shown me nothing but respect) by telling him he can't afford to keep me! :D
