Dizziness When Lying Down
When my husband got up this morning he was white as a sheet and so dizzy he could hardly stand. Of course, my anxiety and fear levels instantly rose, since he had one of the worst kind of heart attacks a person can have a few years ago. Taking no, for an answer I immediately took him to see the doctor.
Blood pressure, oxygen levels and pulse taken, they were all in order! The doctor came in and gave us the verdict, dun,dun dun, vertigo!
Well, the prescription was written and filled and now he is on the road to recovery, possibly 3 to 7 days of dizziness and a lot of sleeping, since the medication causes drowsiness.
And through all of this commotion I thought, sometimes I feel like my head is spinning with all the information we recieve and go through, here at Wealthy Affiliates, and that my prescription is our community at WA, reading what others are doing and recieving the encourgement that everyone offers.
Feel free to leave a comment telling me your prescription.

I hope they found the underlying problem of his vertigo and not just putting a bandaid over it with meds. It could be as simple as calcium buildup in the ear causing the 3 tiny floating bones in th e ear that tells the brain the position one is in relative to the gravities pull. There are also other conditions that could cause vertigo . My friend developed it after having had severe headaches.
I pray that it's temporary and that he will be back to feeling balanced once again!!

Vertigo is horrible. Wishing your husband a speedy recovery.

Vertigo, I am glad it isn't major. My daughter suffers from mild vertigo so I understand your concern. Her first attack was so alarming to me. So I can understand your concern.

The doctor was saying that he has seen an unusual amount of cases so far for the beginning of spring.
Glad he is doing better.
I had benign positional vertigo some years ago. Because one of the side effects of the prescription I was given was dizziness, I didn't get it filled. I looked online and found some exercises that helped.
I agree with you that WA is a good prescription!
Thank you for this post.

I know vertigo can be a tough one deal with. However, I am thankful to hear it was not something more serious.
I suffered vertigo, it was like the worst spinning fare ground attraction you can imagine, sympathy for him.
Welcome back to your piece of therapeutic pleasure!

I know what your husband is going through I have vertigo myself and it can get bad but other times it can be a mild attack. I agree with you. You need to ask for help and questions so that you are on the right track.
Yes, I need to ask questions, for some reason I have a hard time doing that, even when I was in school many years ago.

I am glad that he is fine now. Keep the faith and keep observing him. Sometimes it's a change in position, especially getting up suddenly from the bed in the morning. will cause a drop in blood pressure.
All the best.
Yes, when he stands up is when it is the worst now.
You will know what to do. Just keep monitoring him and pray.
All the best.
