Little Irritations-Big Rewards
The world is your oyster when you get to choose from all the super themes for your new website..or is it?
You have a pet project in mind for your first REAL website,you have colour schemes and layouts in mind and toddle off to choose something close to your vision.
After you've spent time going through the possibles,you click the 'Demo' buttons,hoping to see example sites,well laid out to give you an idea of how the end product will look...Silly girl!
Just a rough outline and a load of mumbo jumbo about what the site can do,not in any kind of 'street speak' just the usual 'geek speak', which floats way above my head off into the ether,so you have no clue what you are choosing or why.
Having been brave and selected what you think might do,get the site built,super easy...but then you are confronted with a whole host of settings and widgets,that won't do as their told,won't move out of the way,won't conform to your vision and appear as different things on different pages,....AAAAAAAAAgh!
I contact the person who designed the theme and she responded quickly but do you know what?
She sounded exactly like the demo copy,totally unintelligible to a jelly brain like me....why can't they ever say,Go Here>Click This and it will be sorted?
Not to be defeated,I yelled,strangled and vicious clicked every button and setting I could find,and you know what,I think I finally did it! O.K so it's taken me hours and stressed me out and added a few more wrinkles but I've beaten it with pure 'bloody mindedness'

Hi Hudson,thanks for bothering to look,appreciate the comment,it is very much a work in progress but there is a link back to the homepage on each page/post...after a day fighting with the theme I was just pleased to get rid of things I didn't want,sorting things I do is another story...Hey Ho,off to work I go Jenny
Well it is always a struggle until the web site starts to resemble the vision you have in your head. I think one thing to remember is that your site is always developing, it isn't a static set of pages. I am just redesigning my home page for the second time ( tells me a lot of what I didn't know till now). I looked at your site and it's very good. One comment to think about. There is no home page on your menu, so you have to remember where you landed if you want to go back to this page, and most people might not bother. Other than this, fine, look to the future.
