It's been well over 2 months and I made $0.08.
It has been over 2 months since i started with Wealthy Affiliate and I can say I have made progress with my website. I have learned a lot. It was a lot of work and there are times I second guess myself if I am in the right track. I know I needed to put in more work hours in this business and I am willing to do that. My motto here is patience, hard work and perseverance now should deliver success in my future.
This is my first post in WA just because I feel I can breathe now and a bit more comfortable opening up about my struggles.
At first I feel like I was just going through the motions of finishing the tasks in the certification training and affiliate bootcamp. I did not understand a lot of concepts, but I pressed on.Somehow, I started to learn and understand.
I still see the number 300 in my affiliate dashboard and I wonder when will that ever start counting down. I still see the number 0 in the training section and I wonder will I ever make and publish any training article or video.
I want to ask an old timer WA members how long did they start seeing monetary results.I want reassurance from a successful member that I too will achieve the same level of success. I guess I just want reassurance that I am on my way to some success.
At this point, my Amazon affiliate application was denied, I reapplied and hoping for the best. I am however approved for my Google AdSense application, and Target and booking .com.My website is about travel and lifestyle in case you are wondering. If you have a chance visit me at www.lifeisadventures.com and maybe you can tell me what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong.
I still don't fully understand the use of Keywords (despite watching Kyle's video several times), but I am trying my best.
My adsense dashboard is indicating I have $ 0.08 estimated earning. I guess that is a start.
What I am trying to do is to validate to all the newbies like me that I too is struggling, and doubting myself and my will in pushing through did waver. But I will continue on moving forward, learning and writing and publishing more posts.
Patience, Hardwork, Perseverance will lead us to Success!
I am hoping to update you in the future about my experiences in this venture.
May God bless all our hard work.

Hey Lilibeth,
I want to draw your attention that if you need to success in any aspect of life rather than WA, it need to work hard and be patient.
Although i'm a newcomer here, i just joined one month ago, but i'm motivated and i believe that i will achieve my goals.
Keep going ,please be positive, the world is waiting you ;)
Hello Haitham. Thank you for the encouragement. I know it takes a lot of work, patience and time and I am doing my best to learn more.
I would like to welcome you to wealthy affiliate and I know you will learn so much from here.
Good luck and God bless in your endeavor!
It's only been 2 months and it's very early, for some it has taken 2-3 years to get a good income. I started end of May and only have made $1.30 lol and I don't have a lot of content yet.. I have my blog up, ranked number 4 on Google so my keywords and SEO are working well for me.. But it depends on what your niche is too..
Don't lose hope, it will happen. Do you have Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter set-up and use those to monetize your blog? If not, I would start with those too. My rank is a 454, help others as well and answer questions if you can. I've been in the IT field for over 8 years and been in the Marketing/Advertising business for 5 years and still going.. and I used to build websites when I was 12-14 with straight code...
If I can help in any way let me know and I'll do what I can and help answer any questions. What affiliate marketing links are you using or companies? I use a few different ones but only 1 has made me any money.. And remember who your target audience is and write for those people, doesn't need to be too lengthy of a blog.. is your site easy to navigate? Is there too much information that makes the target audience a bit overwhelmed? How many people have reviewed your blog? If none yet, make sure to utilize that too so we can help give you some pointers :)

Thank you Katie for the encouragement. I am more patient now actually after realizing that this does take time. My website is www.lifeisadventures.com and its more of a travel and lifestyle blog. At this point, I am publishing 1 blog a week because I do have a full time job and I work nights so its hard to write when you are up all night.
Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read my blog here in WA and responding.
I hear you! I am not working right now but start a new job on the 25th and am going for a 2nd Master's and have a son and 2 dogs and one is a puppy. I totally get it some days I only was able to write one post every 2 weeks, so my site hasn't been doing well but lately since I quit my job last week I have been trying to write a new post once a day but want to start an eCommerce site to bring in more money as well.
I'll take a look at your blog as well! Good luck you can do it!! :)
There is an old saying that Rome was not built in a day. It takes time to build up your sites, load them with content that the search engines find useful, and once that happens you are off to the races.
Are you using social media to promote your site, heck let your network know that you are up and running, you can have the best looking site in the world and if no one knows it exists then how can you make any money, on the other hand you can have a terrible looking site that is loaded with great helpful content and the world will beat a path to your door.
Hang in there, you will make it.
Thank you Carl. I do use social media and my traffic is doing better. I really do appreciate the encouragement. Have a wonderful day.
Hang in there, I've only made $1.25 lol I'm giving it a year until August then deciding how much I've made based on content, traffic, and Google AdSense (by that time I should be approved). If not, I'll cancel my WA and just do my blogging myself and move my domain elsewhere cheaper. At least I received a great amount of training.. :)
Hi Luna. Just hang in there as well. I know this process takes time and I am very happy for the training we get from WA. Eventually we will get enough traffic to make profit. At this time, my goal is to write more posts which I am finding hard to do considering I have a full time job. But, it is what it is and if we want to succeed in this business, we got to do what needs to be done.
So, hang in there and let's give each other progress updates as we go along. Take care.
Lilibeth, it is not a race. We all learn and earn at different paces. The key is to continue learning, have patience and be consistent.
I have been with WA just over a year. But I have been marketing online for 20 years. So I was already making money. But from all my experience online, you won't find a better place to learn than WA.
There are many programs that provide lots of training. But none of them tie the learning, building, and networking together like Wealthy Affiliate.
Thank you Glen.I understand clearly this process now.I will continue on and take all your comments as a motivation.
Thanks for your words of encouragement. It gets to be very difficult sometimes, as you second guess yourself and wonder if what you are doing is even right. But, I can see that everything worth trying is hard in the beginning. Anyhow, best of luck and thanks again. I will check out your site :)
I am glad that this served as an encouragement to you also Melanie. Let's learn from the comments and let's move forward knowing that the WA community is with us.
This is something that should help you out and give you a little perspective. Understanding the Question "How Long Before I Make Money?" The last thing we want any new member seeing is another member talking about making 8 cents in 2 months, right? lol that article should help keep you motivated :)
Thank you for the link Eric. The article indeed is going to be my motivator. It did put things into perspective and that patience, hard work and perseverance just became clearer than ever.
Hi Lilibeth, You have done a lot since you first started and you need to appreciate where you have come from. I am sure that with the training and some more experience under your belt and with the help of fellow members things should improve.
My niche is also travel! All the best.
Wayne
Thank you Wayne.I should look up tour website and I am sure I will get inspiration from it.
That is the full proof that you're on the right track, I'm still in the beginnings too, and what's killing me is the lack of time, I want to finish training fast, so I'd be able to make 1 sale like what happened to you, that time I'd be the happiest on earth.
Thank you Rawan. I work night shift 4 days a week and I worked last night and its already 3:27pm and I haven't slept yet. That is how I make time for my website. I will go to bed in a little bit and usually wakes up at 10pm to go to work.It is hard.I see that I am a month older than you in WA age.Just press on. Patience, Hard Work, Perseverance! May God bless you and your family.

Hi Lillibeth,
It took me 6 months before I made my first WA sale. The hardest thing for me during that time was the wait. I kept wondering IF I would ever make that first sale, and WHEN will it come. Nevertheless, I kept working on my site and promoting WA. When I got the email that I made a WA commission, I can't describe how excited I was about it. This proved to me that WA is for real. I tell you this to say that getting that first sale will be different for each WA member--some will get it relatively quickly, others it will take much longer--it all depends. So, do not give up, keep going and you will eventually get results.
Deidre
Thank you Deidre for your kind words ans encouragement. I am trying to put as much time as I can towards this endeavor. All the best to you!
