Hi, I'm really pleased to see you made it here.I completely understand how overwhelming it can all seem when you first arrive here at WA.With that in mind, I just wanted to give you a quick introduction to SiteRubix and Wealthy Affiliate and explain why it's my recommended training platform for small and local business owners going at it alone. There's a lot of information to take in but don't worry, you can refer back to this quick start guide at any time by visiting your profile, you'll find t

I read an interesting article the other day from Neil Patel that talks about what great content will probably look like in the future.Don't worry, written content isn't going to be suddenly replaced by video overnight, but there are a few things to consider when writing that will help us to future proof our businesses.I'm happy to say that most of what Neil talks about, is what's taught here at WA, either in the certification course, bootcamp, or Jay's live training videos with a couple of addi

I don't know about you, but it seems everywhere I look these days people are saying that content marketing and SEO are becoming a lot less effective as the internet is reaching a saturation point.Just in case you're new here, these methods are the foundation of what is taught here inside WA.The next time I read something like this, I'm going to be taking a closer look at exactly who wrote it, and what they recommend as the alternative. I'm guessing it's going to be social media, paid advertisin

Google seem to have been refreshingly forthcoming and have spilled the beans on what the notorious Panda is all about.Anaylzed and summed up by Moz, I found what they had to say on content quality, lenght, and blog comments to be the most interesting. You can read the full article here https://moz.com/blog/google-panda-algo-newSpoiler alert!!!For anyone that can't be bothered to read the article, let me sum it up for you; Stick to the training here at WA and you won't go far wrong.Lee

I think the majority of us here at WA understand the dangers of using images without permission on our websites.I'm forever adding screenshots of the Google search bar and the search results for various reasons and adding them to my site. Then a few minutes ago, it suddenly hit me..."Am I legally allowed to do this, or will my website be de-indexed, be landed with a huge fine and be thrown into prison for twenty years"? Okay, that last bit might be a little dramatic, but If there's one company t

Even though WordPress is primarily a blogging platform, I'm sure we've all struggled to find that perfect theme. There's plenty out there, but sometimes it can feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I've spent the last few days searching the corners of the internet and here are some really good options if you have a small or local business that you wish to promote.I have to admit, I haven't personally tested all of these themes myself so please do your own due diligence. I'd highly rec

Hi guys, just after a bit of advice. When I first started here at WA I began building a website about debt management solutions, after a while I found myself in over my head, I was competing with some huge sites and didn't really know what i was doing.I've come along way since then and I've decided to bring the site back to life at some point this year.I went to waybackmachine.com and entered the domain name, the "way back machine" tells you if and when your website was cached and provides a li

Since being here at WA I have always used Jaxxy as my keyword tool of choice but this morning I decided to cancel it.Before I go any further, I'd just like to point out to people that don't know me that I am by no means an expert. I've been here at WA for over a year in total and messed around with a different couple of niches and local marketing before finally settling on Bootcamp. I've been progressing through Bootcamp for about 6 weeks now and probably have around 6 pages and 8 posts on my si

I was just taking a break from writing and writing and decided to spend an hour looking at training that has been created by fellow members. One place I always know I'll be sure to learn something new is from Jay (magistudios) who hosts the Friday webinars here at WA.I came across a fairly recent video (webinar recording) from Jay titled 'Content Topic Brain Dump'. I've been thinking lately about putting together a long term content action plan but hadn't got around to doing it, until now that is

Hi allI'm just in the process of writing my latest post for my WA promo site, It felt like I had been writing for hours then I realised it because I have.Just out of interest I decided to check the word count for the content I had write so far, and it comes to over 2,500 words and it's only three quarters of the way through.I'm going to re-jig a couple of things and turn it into somewhat of a pillar post. When I first joined WA i was seriously struggling to write 400-500 words. Now I can't produc
