School Is Out Now What
This will be the first time since joining Wealthy Affiliate that I have had to actually try to work while having my girls home all day and night EVERY DAY.
Yup, you guessed it. School is out now what? Do I work while they sleep? Have them enjoy summer without me?
I am a part of the Super Wealthy Affiliate Challenge also, will I get even further behind in it? Will I lose my member rank?
Super Mom-Up Up And Away
I have always been involved with EVERYTHING my children were involved in. Sports, performing arts, girls scouts and everything in between.
Even when I was working 9-5 in the workforce, I had a great boss who let me have time off in order to remain the mom my kids needed me to be.
None of my children had an easy life and I will spare you those details, plus that isn't what this is about.
My point is, I am a very active mother when it comes to my children and I will remain that way as long as the good lord allows it.
I am now facing one of my most difficult challenges since joining here. Will I remain that super mom they think I am? You bet your bottom dollar I will.
Will I fail at my learning and task that I need to complete here? Most definitely not. I accept this challenge and I will succeed, I am a super mom and have made it through worse.
How Will I Do It
Hmm, this has actually not been too hard to figure out. I love being outside and most of the time, so do they.
We have an above ground pool, a trampoline, a creek and a deck where I can see everything from.
This will allow me to be there and work on my site at the same time. Us mothers (and fathers) can multitask as well as HEAR and SEE everything.
My girls have adjusted to my working from home and they know that just because I am working while they are here I can still interact with them.
I haven't missed a practice, game or girl scout event yet. Even since joining WA, I have still managed to ne a part of everything they do.
Wrestling, yup I was there, tablet in hand when she wasn't wrestling and when she was I had my cell recording it. She was awesome I might add. She gets it from me : )
Track meets, same thing, tablet in between events (if there was internet) and cell phone to record. When it comes to girl scouts I only focus on them. I am a co-leader and it is my pleasure to give them my undivided attention.
My Job My Business
This is my JOB and my business. When I first joined we had a talk. My girls understand that this is my business that I am building.
Even though I am not bringing home a paycheck (yet) they understand that I have to devote time to it in order to hopefully make a profit from it.
I couldn't do it without them. Their support and the support of my husband, make it possible for me to do this.
My business will get my time and dedication that it needs in order to make it successful and help others to find the same opportunity that I have been given.
My family knows that if this doesn't happen, then we are still struggling by living on one paycheck.
This is my job and it lets me be home with them and be involved at anytime they have something going on, they understand I have to put many hours into it.
It is no different from if I worked outside the home in the workforce. Actually I spend more time on my business because it is MY business.
I paid yearly, but I only plan on it coming out of my husbands pocket for the first one, the next better be from my own pocket.
How many other parents or others are in the same boat as me? What are your plans for working on your business during summer vacation for your little ones?
I would love to hear how you have done it in the past or what your plan is if this is your first time as well.

Not a perfect life by any means. I just appreciate what I have, because I know there are others who don't have a family, or a supportive family.

My granddaughter will want to spend as much time as she can in the apartment pool so that means I will be on my laptop. She knows we can't be at the pool during certain hours because the sun is too high/hot so we will be home. She will be entertaining herself while I work. May have to kick it old school with pen and paper since we will be around water.

Good for you. I take my tablet to cricket, and work, are we just sad or totally motivated and dedicated.
I know. It is like an addiction, but boy is it a good one.
I just run into the issue of not having internet everywhere I go. Most of the games and activities and the sports are at schools and they don't provide wifi because they don't want the students on their phones while in school, and I definitely agree.
You have the right attitude and priorities in place--I have no doubt about your ability to make it all work!

As a father and scout leader, I can tell you it can be done. It is harder in the summer when school is out. You must plan your day or every thing will get away from you. At week long camp, they have a hot spot for parents that work from home to use.

I live in a REALLY rural area where you can't even get GOOD internet so most of the places we travel become a hit or miss for any type of service.

enjoy this time with them because I can tell you in the time it takes to turn around they are grown up. Once they get to middle school those years go by fast and high school is over in the flash of an eye. then the're off to college and you wonder where did the time go.
on the other hand, the Internet is not going anywhere

You are absolutely correct my friend. Our youngest is going into 5th grade. Here in W V they of to the middle school. She is my baby and I am already seeing her graduate and leaving home.
These 2 girls are the last of 7, so I know all to well how fast they grow up.
My hardest thing to deal with is knowing these 2 are the last for me. I can't imagine my life without a child in it.
Which is why I do stay involved. So don't worry my friend, I will take advantage of all the time I have with them.

But yes 6th of July is a HUGE holiday here.
We have 3 acres here and we love. Just makes for a long drive in to town.
