Do You Find Writing Hard? Here's What Happened To Me

I've been here at Wealthy Affiliate for exactly two years. I remember when I first signed up, my biggest challenge was the writing part of content creation. It just felt like so much work!
If you are new here and are feeling the same way, let me tell you that it's perfectly normal it's not as big an issue as you think it is.
When I started out
With my first few articles, writing 400 words felt like quite a strain and 800 words felt like I was at my limit. I wondered If I would make it here at WA. "This minimum 1500 word thing all the time is a tall order and I don't think I'm gonna make it."
So, a funny thing just happened. While going through the backend of my earlier website, I was approving old comments so I checked the article out I was approving a comment on. The article looked horribly short to me and when I checked the word count, it was at 800 words.
Here is the thing, though...
When I was writing that article it seemed so long, but after being at WA all this time, what took every ounce of effort out of me a year or two back seems like short work now.
So I immediately dove into the article and added 600 words to it with barely any effort. But why can I do this so easily now?
How Did This Change Happen?
It has been said a million times before here but I will say it again. It's all about practice. But what you might not know is that the practice is easier than you might realise. It doesn't necessarily mean grinding out articles alone.

You can become a better writer by simply getting involved in WA.
What do I mean by that?
Wealthy Affiliate is a rare place because of all the opportunities that it gives you to grow into a content creator.
Unexpected way WA makes you a better writer
Interaction with the community - when you are interacting with the community at WA you are learning and practising.
For example, when you ask a question at WA, the responder will likely give you an in-depth explanation that tries to answer your question fully without you having to ask follow-up questions. This often means the answer is longer than you needed it to be.
With me, when someone helped me in this way, I picked up on that method and when someone asked a question and I knew the answer, I would emulate the in-depth responses that I received from helpful WAers.
It's a matter of habit
After you have read enough in-depth responses (the learning) and giving in-depth answers (the practice), you unconsciously become a more capable writer and find yourself in the habit of writing at length.
These types of detailed responses are now part of my way of responding on WA and with the comments on my website.
So with this old article I mentioned above, at one glance I saw all the potentially useful information I had left out and that came out to 600 words which I typed out in a few minutes.
The information is already in you, you just have to get used to getting it out of you and onto the article.
Do the practice
Get involved in WA. Read reports and training from other members. Ask questions, and when you know the answers, help out newer members.
Every little task you do at WA is either a learning experience or something that reinforces what you have already learned (PRACTICE).
So long as you do the practice, you will eventually internalize how other contributors operate here and become a better writer before you realise it.
You don't have to grow in leaps and bounds to reach the point you want to reach. Small improvements over time will get you to the destination all the same.
