Finding That Balance Point.

As my previous blog stated, it has been a rather busy month in my household!!! My wife and I have had to entertain multiple guests in our home including my daughter which I have not seen for nearly a year, and my 4 year old grand daughter that is soooo high energy I wish I could bottle it. That would definitely be a marketable product!!!!

So what has suffered? Well most definitely my website has suffered as I have gone from writing a post every couple of days to only getting 2 posts in over the past two weeks. I like many of the new members worry about building the proper foundation to my website, getting a good flow of traffic and eventually making it profitable.

I feel a certain amount of anxiety with this even though, unlike many other programs, I do not have a lot of money invested in this process. I feel I have something much more valuable invested......my time. I am somewhat proud of the fact that in the short time that I have been involved with WA I have managed to create not one but two websites, although the second one needs a LOT of work. I have created 17 posts on my main niche website that has received nearly 100 comments and have grown my social network exponentially.

So what is my point with all this you ask? Quite simply remember to stop and smell the roses once and a while. I know we are all here for the same goal and want to achieve financial success, but at what costs. The turning point for me was when my four year old grand daughter came to ask me a question while I was working on a post and I snapped back to basically leave me be for the time being. Watching her walk away head down with a tear starting in her eye made me stop and reflect on what I had done.

Yes no denying that making money is important, and following the training we have received here is equally important. However if we spend all of our time and effort in making this work, we quite often end up losing out on other things. I have learned over the past few years that life is precious and it should not be taken for granted.

Take that time to spend with family and do the things with them that you want to do. Your website will still be here tomorrow or the next day.

This was one of those things that was rolling around in my head that needed to get out hence why it is written here. My wish is success for all but a balanced lifestyle as well.

Well stated and wisdom we all should absorb. Life's important moments such as spending some time with your little ball of energy will not wait for you to finish a post.

Fortunately the incident got your attention relative to what is important in life. WA, the training, your websites will be there when you have the free time. Those precious moments will not.

Of course we know your snap wasnt at her but rather at your work. Im sure you gave her a big hug and made up for it. Of course work cant be the priority and I think many of us have to learn that in one way or another.

If we find that happy medium we will be happier and in turn our results in everything including our work will be better.

Cheers fella

Smile

Oh trust me grandpa more than made up for the snap and you are right it wasn't meant for her she just took the brunt of it.
Finding that balance is something that can't be taught we need to learn it the hard way unfortunately.
Cheers to you as well.

Getting one's life priorities in order is Job 1, you're doing very well there! Best wishes for your success!

Couldn't agree more. Life is all about lessons learned and I have learned a very valuable lesson the last couple of weeks. Best wishes to you as well Bobby

Put essential things first and everything else will also be blessed with success!

Well put.

I think it is critical that we take a step away every now and again. This past week has been pretty odd - from dealing with weather damage to having issues sleeping to working on research to ... you get the idea.

We used to call them Mental Health Days when we did the 9 to 5 thing - and they were important. They are just as important now.

Enjoy the company!

I still do the 9 to 5 thing and even there I am bull headed in that I don't take the time I sometimes need to. This past week though I did in fact extend my holiday time to spend more time with my family.

Been There, Done That! It is waaaaaay to easy to get sucked into the idea of I Can't Possibly Take Time Off!

It is waaaay to easy to get on the road to burn out that way, too.

Balance is so hard to do and our websites are the first thing to suffer.
Don't get discouraged keep working and you will be successful.

Absolutely. There is no discouragement here....more of a realization. I know it will come but patience was never my strong point haha
