Benefits of Becoming an Instructor

When you teach other people you must yourself become better at what you teach.

This is a lesson I learned when I was 18 and was assigned to train other people - much to my initial disliking of the idea. But I was in the military at the time and it was not exactly a request.

Turns out that single incident was to change my entire life’s course - though I didn’t know that at the time either.

No matter what subjects and skills I have taught over the last several decades I have always had to research and study to learn more, to get better and to keep improving both my own knowledge and my ability to communicate and teach that to my students.

Today I continue to train people and to teach others how to do new to them things - or how to improve and get better for those who already have some knowledge and skill in the areas I focus on and teach.

This skillset has helped me get and keep several excellent and high paying jobs over many years - and continues to help me build my own businesses too.

Beyond the money, and the business building skills - there is a great personal satisfaction in teaching real skills that matter and that help other people build solid careers and businesses and achieve their own goals over the subsequent years.

Why?

Because you will become much better at what ever it is you choose to teach. You will again become a student yourself - and that’s a core element to understand. Great instructors are always students forever seeking and striving to become better.

So your own knowledge and skills will get much better.

You will also be able to monetize this in many ways. You can get a job as an instructor and teach at a training school, or consulting firm - or start your own consulting, coaching and training company.

You can also learn to teach online courses. It’s like anything else, learn each step and then do each step and you will have your first online course done and published. Once you know how to create one - you will know how to create as many as you like.

Each course is like a digital investment property - and will continue to pay you again and again and again for many years to come - if you do it right.

My online courses are among my best income producers - and are close to passive income. Just got another big payment a couple of days ago (as I do each and every month and have for years) and every time I get that notification I get a great big smile on my face.
