Finding your joy
Having fun when you can
I get to do paddle board tours for one of my jobs. I enjoy most of the customers and spending time in Antelope Canyon is always a treat. So the saying goes, it's not all work and no play.
I work two full time jobs but once in a while I take a group into the canyon on paddle boards and helping people learn how to SUP (stand up paddle board) is an amazing thing to see and do.
Not all fun and games
There is a lot that goes into becoming a certified SUP instructor and having others lives in your hands. As I guide them into the canyon and tell them all about the native land and interesting sights, I am constantly reminded that there are dangers. I think that when you are with a guide you have that safe feeling and putting your trust in a complete stranger, because after all, that is what I am to them. A stranger.
I have customers who come from all over the globe. They are not native to this land, don't know the dangers, nor the risks. That is much like having a business online. At least for the first timer. As I grow my business online, I don't know my customers or who is reading my blog posts.
Finding my why
I want to spend more time doing what I love and helping others. As I work to grow my online business, I want to get to know my readers. When I first started learning about WA and what it can help me learn, I thought, "wow this is a great way to make money online and just sell sell sell". What I didn't understand until recently was that, I can actually help people online and even though they are strangers, we can connect online as they read my blogs and click on my links.
Don't get me wrong, I want the money too, but my why is starting to change. I want to help others. Weather is it helping them learn about something, get access to something they need, or just to shop. I want them to see me as a friend and put their trust in me.
Just like my customers on the water, they put their trust in me that I will guide them to beautiful places like this.
And keep them safe from boats, falling rocks, and other dangers they have no idea exhist.
You must see it
If you ever have the opportunity to visit Norther Arizona and get into Antelope Canyon, I hope you go. I hope you come and see me, and I hope you experience the beauty that surrounds our world.
I also hope that my why continues to grow and helping others becomes a passion. Hope you enjoyed the little tour into this amazing canyon and I helped you dream of the possibilities.
