First Page Finally!
After nearly six months at WA, a post I wrote in December has cracked the first page of Google. It's at the bottom, but it's still on the first page.
The post is regarding the history of Lays Potato Chips and I'm genuinely surprised at just how many people are Googling that these days... but hey, I'm not complaining! Maybe there's some sort of school project going on.
Regardless, first page!
Most of my other articles are severely buried and I'll have to work at improving the onpage SEO to get them higher up and hopefully ranking on the first page as well.
Just one other question though: I have a few keywords that Google Search Console says I'm on the first page for. There are a couple it says my rank is 8 and one it even says my rank is 3, but when I google the keyword, unlike the Lays article which I do see, I don't see my website anywhere. Not even on the second page. Why does GSC say I'm ranking for it, then?

Your locality might not be on page one but other locations will have it.
Google customizes search results for each user. They might have a different idea as to what you want to see. Their algorithms aren't always the most precise.
Just one little foible among many that Google has.
