I found this on Google+, and thought of sharing here, as we are all writers now and we need stuff like that. Big thanks to Sara LaMothe.

Nice list. English 101 but commas can be troublesome. Thanks!

Learned all these in high school and later in college. As writers, we shouldn't fail using them. :)

lol both were a long time ago for some of us :-) we can use a little reminder now and then :-)

Indeed. I don't mind having them every time as I'm just too lazy sometimes... :D

Ah Laura, this takes me back in time. Writing lesson is very appropriate in this business.

Thanks for sharing, but I thought all along that we don't need to put comma before the word 'and' anymore, as it indicates separation between two phrases or words. (That's in rule #1).

It depends. Back in my country, we studied Brits English (what I believed) so we didn't use the coma before the word 'and' or 'but' or 'or' but what I learned recently, if you were to use the coma before 'and', make sure you use the same method with the rest of your articles. :)

Good information Laura!

Thank you so much for this. I never know where to put them. This will help a lot.

Woow! Thanks, I every have a doubt regarding commas.
