Hurray, it has happened again. meeting a wealthy affiliate member
Meeting Michelle and Loes
In April 2018, Michael and I had a glorious holiday in the Netherlands. During those 14 days, we met 2 lovely ladies I had contact with on our platform. First, we visited Michelle in Antwerpen/Belgium. Days later, having reached the province of Friesland up north, we met Loes and Willem.
Here you can read about that trip.

The effect of world happenings
In 2019 we had planned to visit the U.S. but the stock market was not favorable, so we had to skip that trip. Then 2020 arrived, and we were making some alternative plans. That materialized neither because of lockdown and travel restrictions.
We should not complain as living on the farm we have place enough to stretch our legs and there is always enough to do. We enjoyed a beautiful spring and then the summer arrived. Spain had no summer season to speak of as most of the tourists stayed away, restricted by the laws of their own countries. Tourism is very important for Spain and it will take a long time to recover from this crisis.
Lenka, Max, and myself in the pergola
I had been in contact with Lenka from the Check Republic. She told me they always make a trip to Spain somewhere in May. As she would be on the other side of Malaga in Nerja, I told her to come and visit. Sadly, they had to cancel their trip as restrictions were getting more severe.
Still, Max and Lenka did not give up, so they came in September. They arrived in our place on the 15th and stayed overnight to start their homebound trip the following day.
Hole 1 at Lauro Golf
Meeting Max and Lenka
They arrived on Tuesday a little after 11.00 o'clock. A nice young couple. After bringing their luggage to the guest bedroom, we took them for a coffee and showed them the village of Alhaurin de la Torre. Then we went inland and drove a few miles so they could see Lauro Golf and the marvellous view of Malaga coming down again from the mountain.
In the evening Michael put on the grill in the patio and we had an enjoyable meal with figs from the garden and ice cream as dessert. We were happily chatting away about this and that, and for us, it was a welcome break after all these rather monotonous months. We told Max and Lenka if they come to Spain again they should visit us for some more days. Then we will be able to show them some nice places on this side of Malaga like Mijas and Ronda.
Having dinner in the pergola
That is the extra enjoyable part of Wealthy Affiliate. We make new friendships with people you otherwise would not meet.

Thanks for sending me the link to this post.
I'm delighted for you and Lenka that you were able to spend time together, even though it was short. I'm sure Michael enjoyed the visit from Lenka and her friend as much as you did.
Your garden is so beautiful, with lovely areas to sit and relax.
WA certainly is a great place for meeting people virtually who have the same or similar interests, and building friendships.
But, to meet those friends in person would be very special.
With best wishes.
Valerie
