How long does it roughly take for google to read your website?
It has to be Indexed and then depending on the quality of the content, your rank.
Why not do a manual index?
It only takes a couple of minutes and I and a great many members do this as soon as they publish on their site.

How to Get Your Content Indexed in Google within Hours Here's a good training on how to fetch as Google. You'll need Google Webmaster tools set up first if you haven't done that then you'll need to visit this training: Setting Up Google Webmaster Tools
