I need an Inspiration.
It's been more than a month now since I signed up to be a part of WA again, but until now I haven't done anything yet. Not true actually, I've done a few things like going to the training, saying hello to the chat room, and I build my website but that's about it. I have an empty website. I've been wanting to put a content but don't know what to write. If you ask me if I have a niche, I do. The thing is I could not even write a post "About Me", that's the problem.
Now, I started questioning myself, if coming back to WA is really what I want. Don't misconstrue me, I love WA that why I came back.
I guess I just need an inspiration to start. So if anyone can inspire and motivate me to write again please do so...
Cheers,
Nenita

Maybe you need to follow the training an do the tasks that follow each. As you see Kyle do it, you will get inspired.
I felt the same way when I started. I wanted to start doing work on my website but didn't know what to write about.
I finally started thinking about things I wanted to achieve in life and my current job cannot provide that to me so that sort of motivated me to take action.
So I first started selecting low hanging keyword in my niche, as thought by Kyle. I started off with the first keyword and it took me a week to write the article. I started using books to help me write my content. I don't plagiarize the contents of the book. I read a topic and then put it in my own words and add extra details as well (my views). I think you too should use the help of books to help you with creating content. Currently, I post 1 article per week on my website. This works for me because this is the pace I can work at.
For inspiration, I'd recommend you think about what led you to want to start an online business. Use that motive to give you the push.
Envision yourself even, about your life once this venture becomes successful. That worked for me.
I wish you luck!
Hello, Nenita. If I wait for inspiration, it never seems to come, so I have to force the issue within myself. I do that by sitting down to write, and not getting out of my chair until I've written SOMETHING. Anything. I'm sure that you have a story. It's YOUR story - where did you come from, what have you done, why are you here at WA, what do you hope to accomplish, what are your goals, what is your plan to reach your goals...........
Who knows your life story better than you?
I call that "priming the pump". Once I start writing something, more things pop into my mind, and I just keep going. I made a rule for myself. At a set time, I sit down to write. I can not do anything else - no TV, no radio, no distractions. If I have to sit there and look at a blank screen for 60 minutes, that's my punishment! But that doesn't happen, because I start putting down words, and the "Muse" takes over.
Why don't you just write me back and tell me about yourself. Okay?
Frank
Thanks Frank, I agree with you that waiting for inspiration might never happen. The truth is I love to write and if you see my profile awhile back I wrote so many blogs.
I try to sit for hours to write something but I came up with nothing. Only headache is what I got, lol.
Prime the pump! Just by looking at your profile picture, I can see that you have an interesting story to tell. Your life experiences, where you are, where you want to go. It may not seem interesting to you, but it is to someone else. Even if you never publish or use it in any way, you will be writing again.
A short time back, without even realizing it, I was slipping into a mild depression, characterized by a feeling of "do I really want to spend all this time and effort with WA, or anything else?"
Just like everyone else, I have my personal problems to face. Then I saw a post from DEversley titled "Who is determined to succeed" It reminded me of just how great life has been to me. Check it out and give me your reaction.
It inspired ME.
Frank
PS. Dang it! I just realized I don't know how to put the link here
You're welcome. I'm sure you arrived a WA with a purpose and maybe you just need to remember that so that you can move forward. There will be people who want to listen to whatever you have to say so don't worry, just get started with something. More will flow I'm sure. All the best and let me know how you get on. Gail

Hey Nenita,
Great to see you're back at WA! I know all too well the feeling of being stuck...especially on the About Me page. It took me a ridiculously long time to get that one page done when I started out here, so don't be too hard on yourself.
I think for myself anyways, I had a problem with writing about myself...thought I'd have nothing to share on it that anyone would care to read or nothing much to show as accomplishments on it either. But, after awhile I just started writing it to get it over with, lol.
Write a bit about yourself, and why you're doing what you do...your niche. Think about how it will help others and tell them that there too...what you want your site to be about and how it'll help others interested in your niche.
Think about the problems that you'll help others solve in your niche and mention those problems too...if you realize the problems that are common in the niche you're in, I'm sure your readers will have the same ones and be looking for the solutions.
I hope that gives you a bit of an idea on where to start on your About Me page...I think that's probably the hardest one to write in my humble opinion, lol. And, it doesn't have to be perfect either, it can always be changed or added to...mine's changed many times over the years.
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
Thanks Sherry for this wonderful advice.
