I did it anyways
I know that people here in the WA said to me not to star doing my blog with both english and finnish but I felt so bad to loose over 1000 visitors to my site monthly so I did it.
I now have a site that is mainly in english and then there is a portion that is in finnish.
I am a fast writer when it comes to my native language and it takes me less than 20 minutes to write a post in finnish.
I will not stop posting my main site and will not change a lot but to have something to offer those that are not able to read or write in english and google is not able translate my post either I feel that it is what needed to be done.
I am sorry if some of you feel that I did something really stupid maybe I did but I have a feeling that this will be a thing that will make me have more readers and I have a feeling that in coming weeks there will be few new members from Finland joining our WA community.

Most definitely you should post in your native tongue. You have many friends there. It would be unkind to leave them behind. My outlook...the more, the merrier!!!
Have a great day!!

It's your site and you should do what makes it authentic for you. If needed, you'll make the necessary changes. Best of luck with your approach. Debbie
it's still up to you to do what you feel is best for you. others can give you their opinion but you have the control to make the final decision
It's most certainly not a stupid thing to do!
However, you might want to think how you're managing this, and whether you'd be better off creating subdomains or subdirectories and translating all your content into both languages.
For example:
http://en.fotolia.com is the English subdomain of http://fotolia.com
http://es.fotolia.com is the Spanish subdomain of http://fotolia.com
If you set it up this way, you can then use a geo location plugin to redirect your visitors based on their geographical location.

In simple terms, you'd probably do much better with your Finnish content if you translate everything on a separate subdomain and target it to appear on https://www.google.fi/ncr
Thank You. I actually did a quick survey in Facebook group of 3000 members about if they wanted to have same content in Finnish as I have in English and I got 760 answers and 3% wanted the Content to be same and the rest wanted to have content that was more blog like and less business like and more product reviews and less about the work side.
I will do both but I will have few posts about business as well.

Remember our lessons, "...write for the readers not for yourself..." If you have Finnish readers, now they are happy, your happy, everyone is happy!! Great decision to stick up for what you believe in, Hyvää työtä!
Thank you. Kiitos!
