Familiarizing myself with Social Networking
So today I am going to take some time to sign up for a few different Social Networking sites. I am already involved with a few, but my goal is to find at least 2-3 more and sign up and create a profile. I am a fairly quick learner with things and somewhat internet savvy. So I think branching out shouldn't be such a hard thing to do. (or so I hope).
On another note, after letting my oldest son (11) know about my venture here at WA, he seems pretty curious. Yet doesn't understand. He thinks I am wasting my time.
I look forward to the days when I can show him that hard work and persistence does pay off. AND that anything is possible if you want it bad enough. His doubt in the success of this makes me want it even more. It gives me more drive. It will be nice to show him that you can achieve success when you set your mind to something.

Perhaps you can also get your son involved and see if he can do a blog of sorts relating to your niche.
Once he gets into doing this he will see it in a different view.
Plus the fact he will be developing further writing skills and techniques that will benefit him.
Take care be well.
I am sure we are already connected with other sites check my profile if you wish and we can connect if there is anything left out.
Keep up your great work.
Andre
Hey Kyndra,
I have been doing social media seriously for about a year and a half. I have some good info on my blog about building social media networks. I also have a good post about using feedburner which you are really going to want to implement after you have a solid foundation.
Its the best way you can teach him is with your own hard work that pays off. I have been in a love and hate relationship with social media but it is working slowly, go to it. I did a blog on how I had got great advice about twitter if it is any use to you.Tim
Lol my 16 year old says the same thing so I am just waiting till i make money to show him whats up!
LOL Alan, seems kids nowadays have an opinion on everything. haha. So here is a question for you. being an Ambassador as I see it says next to your username, you have't made money? or does that have something to do with being active within the site?

Children learn way more by modeling than anything else. Websites and working online are pretty abstract for younger children but things will change in a couple of years. He's learning what real work looks like, whether he appreciates it or not. The media makes everything look so instantaneous & glamorous - there's no reality in that!
I floated the idea to my 11yo to work on a site together, on something we both enjoy (and that checks out as a viable niche market ;)). He's interested, so that's a start.
Plus I am keen on teaching all of my kids to be entrepreneurs, it's a rare school where they'd learn useful lessons that are directly applicable to their future lives. I also bet he'll change his tune when you have your first $100 day!
