$4,800 commissions? Am I doing this all wrong?

What's up WA?

I've recently allowed a few internet marketers to pitch me their sales platforms. The main two I watched was for the A-team and Duplicate Dave.

These two seem to be pushing the sale of high-ticket items and I've started to wonder, am I approaching this all wrong?

I've been targeting products that are in the $15 - $200 range but I've heard that there isn't any money to be made in that price range and that creating websites doesn't create sales.

Maybe I'm just not far enough along in the training here at WA, but I'm questioning my entire strategy.

Does anyone else pursue high-ticket items?

Thank you

The key is too choose what to promote based on what is the best for your audience, or you are selling out those that are putting their trust in you.

I see too many folks these days chasing the ideas of high commissions for the sake of earning high commissions. The lose the idea of their customer and what benefits them most and force themselves into a mindset that the customer is a means to their money, that is it.

Are larger commissions harder to convert? Yes, of course. Can they be made, yes, of course.

At the end of the day you have to choose between two things. Short term money or a long term brand. If you choose the later, you can live a long life online. If you choose the first, then you will likely go as quick as you come into this business.

Thanks for the insight on that Kyle! Long-term is definitely the name of the game but sometimes it's easy to lose site of that... I'm just really anxious to quit my job. lol

I appreciate it!

Thank you for this reply. It really helped confirm a few things I was somewhat unsure on. Definitely going to be providing something to help others and I'l let the money come later. People first.

a balancing of the price of the item over the number of clicks!

Yes - 5K. But to do that I have a funnel. So I start with a free item, then got to a 29.97 then 97.79 and then an application to be considered for the big program. You need to work the numbers - how much do you want, so how many do you need to sell. Then what is you success rate - e.g. If you need to sell 30 and you rate is 30% you need 100 clicks to get the 30 (roughly). If you have a membership site (even better) then what is the drop out rate cos you need to replace that many people each month.

Hope that helps.

Definitely helps!! Honestly, I've heard about this funnel think but haven't heard it put so damn simply before. In the first two sentences I feel like you've just helped me out tremendously.

Hmmmm... Now I just have to find a product I'd be proud promoting? That how that works?

Yes potentially. For example, I promote Clickfunnels which gives me all the products (including membership site) except the big ticket. That's mine and sold to people who have bought other products. CF do have a 10k product but the commission is only 500 so not a huge return.
